Botanical Textures Corrugated Blues Card
My final Botanical Textures class card has a fun textured background and features more of the decorative Textured Notes rectangle dies.
Background Basics
I started by embossing a 3-1/2″ x 5″ piece of Boho Blue cardstock with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder. Oh, I just love that texture! It’s mounted on a 3-5/8″ x 5″ piece of Basic Black. Notice that the embossed piece is also 5″ long. The texture creates a shortened piece, so it mats perfectly onto a 5″ long mat.
I die-cut a Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper layer with the Textured Notes die and adhered it to the top of the corrugated layer. I tied the Basic White Woven Ribbon around the layers into a double-knot and mounted them onto a Misty Moonlight card front.
Focal Point Sentiment
I stamped the Textured Notes sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Basic White Textured Notes rectangle die-cut. I also added some Textured Notes leaves images, inked in Boho Blue and stamped-off once or twice for a lighter look. It’s popped up onto the card front with Dimensionals. TIP: So that it lays neatly, I used the Dimensionals edging along the top and bottom to prevent it from touching the ribbon.
Finishing Touches
I added a couple of White Neutral Matte Dots around the layers to finish.
Two Cool
I CASEd my card from this gorgeous swap card I received from Monika Davis. Her Basic White corrugated background measures 3-3/4″ x 5 and is matted onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Gray Granite. She tied some Linen Thread around the layers and popped them up with Dimensionals onto the Thick White card base.
She layered a different pattern of Botanical Textures DSP for the background. Her sentiment layer has a different greeting and is stamped with Gray Granite stamped-off ink. She added some Beige Neutral Matte Dots around the focal point. So lovely!
