  Kathe silver retro trees

Created by Kathe Madsen

#1 Kathe's Silver Twinkle Trees Card

The fun and retro trees in the Twinkle Trees stamp set are retiring and I'm so sad to see them go!  Kathe Madsen shared this beautiful silver card she created, CASEd from one of the projects that I recently shared in white.  Download the FREE Printable Project Sheet.

Background Basics—Kathe started by stamping some round dots from the Twinkle Trees set in Soft Sky all over the background of a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.  She added a silver embossed greeting at the bottom from a retired stamp set. Then she texture embossed it with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  It's mounted on a Soft Sky card base.

Terrific Trees—The trees are silver embossed onto Vellum card stock, then hand-cut and attached to the card front.  A few Rhinestone Jewels finish the look!  So, so pretty!

Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.

Darla merry tags silver

#2 Darla's Silver Merriest Tag Ornament Card

I love this simple & pretty silver card from Darla Eigenschink.  It features the retiring Merriest Wishes stamp set and Merry Tags Framelits.  This has been one of my favorites this holiday season!

Background Basics—Darla stamp the Merriest Wishes greeting at the bottom of a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White, then embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder.  Like Kathe's card, she add the Softly Falling textured embossing before layering it onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Perfect Plum.

Shiny Ornament—Darla die cut the Silver Foil ornament with the Merry Tags Framelits, then die-cut another solid Perfect Plum ornament shape.  She adhered them together with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  If you look closely, you'll see that she brushed on some Wink of Stella glimmer on the Perfect Plum layer, too!

She tied on Linen Thread to the ornament hanger and wrapped it around the back of the embossed layer, then popped up the ornament with Dimensionals.  She mounted the entire thing onto the front of a Crumb Cake card base.  Simply lovely!
