Season of Chic Thinking of You Card
Mary Anne Grimmer created this pretty, layered, Season of Chic card and I love all of the textures!
Basic Backgrounds—Mary Anne started by die-cutting Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen layers with the Deckled Rectangles Dies. She stamped the Season of Chic leaf image in Soft Succulent all over the Soft Succulent layer, then mounted it onto the Evening Evergreen die-cut layer before mounting onto a Soft Succulent card base. Next, she added a 1" x 5-3/8" piece of Texture Chic Designer Series Paper down the length of the card.
Textured Layers—Mary Anne embossed a 1-3/8" x 2-3/4" piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock with the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Next, she die-cut the cross-hatch background texture in Distressed Gold Specialty Paper with the Chic Dies and mounted that with Liquid Glue. A leaf was also die-cut from the Distressed Gold paper and adhered with Liquid Glue.
Sweet Sentiment—Mary Anne stamped a Season of Chic sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink onto a Soft Succulent Deckled Rectangles Dies label die-cut. Sen also stamped the swoosh image over the sentiment in stamped-off Soft Succulent ink, then popped up the label with Dimensionals.
Finishing Accents—Mary Anne loosely looped some Linen Thread and adhered it to the side and above the label with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. She stamped a Season of Chic leaf in Soft Succulent ink onto Soft Succulent cardstock, die-cut with Chic Dies and popped it up with Dimensionals next to the sentiment. She also die-cut an Evening Evergreen leaf and adhered it with Liquid Glue under the label. So, so pretty!
Season of Chic Best Birthday Ever Card
Karin Braxton created this lovely swap card, also featuring the Texture Chic DSP and Season of Chic Bundle.
Basic Backgrounds—Karin created what I call a "photo album" card; one of my current favorites for fun folds! It starts with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, scored along the 11" side at the 4-1/4" and 5-1/2" marks. The panel between the score lines is adhered to the inside of the card, so that only the 4-1/4" square opens as a card. The "spine" panel is decorated with a 1" x 4-1/4" piece of Textured Chic DSP.
Karin embossed a 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of already retired holographic paper with the retiring Seashells Embossing Folder. This special paper was difficult to photograph. In reality it looks like a shiny peach background, but the lights and camera exaggerate the holographic part, so it doesn't look nearly as cool. You could easily substitute this with retiring Copper Foil, or the beautiful Rose Gold Specialty Paper for a lovely, complementary look.
Sweet Shells—Karin added a 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" piece of coordinating Texture Chic DSP over the top of the embossed layer as a foundation for the focal point. Next, she stamped a Season of Chic shell in Crumb Cake ink onto Basic White Chic Dies shell die-cut and adhered it with SEAL. She also stamped a sentiment onto another white shell die-cut and popped it up with Dimensionals. And, she die-cut a detailed shell in Copper Foil that was adhered with Liquid Glue.
Finishing Accents—Karin tucked some retiring Petal Pink Soft Polyester Ribbon under the popped shell and added a few Petal Pink Solid Faceted Gems along the spine and by the shells. How lovely!
