Were you disappointed that you were not able to order the Butterfly Thinlits during the Sale-a-Bration promotion? Well, you are definitely not alone! Today, Stampin' Up! has announced an update on the Butterfly Thinlits backorder situation that may take away some of the frustration.
Butterfly Thinlit Situation—The Butterfly Thinlits have been on backorder for many weeks. They were moved to the "not orderable" list while they were sitting on a ship in the middle of the ocean waiting for the West Coast dock workers slow down and backlog of shipments to be resolved. They are now expected to arrive at the warehouse on April 15. We'll cross our fingers!

I'm so happy that the Butterfly Thinlits backorder may be coming to an end because this is certainly one of my favorite sets in the Occasions Catalog! I recently created some pretty little 3×3" thank you notes and I was once again amazed at how quickly and easily the images create lovely layers!

Background Basics—I started these little notes with a 3"x 6" piece of Pool Party card stock, folded in half. I stamped the diagonal dotted line image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set twice along the side in matching Pool Party ink.
Circle Focal Point & Sentiment—I punched out a 2-1/2" Circle from Whisper White to use as my focal point. The Butterfly Basics leaves are inked with Crumb Cake ink and stamped twice without re-inking. I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss right over the top. I popped up this circle with Dimensionals, positioning a little off-center and off the edge of the note card. I trimmed off the circle flush with the edge with my super-sharp Paper Snips.
Bitty Butterfly—The tiny butterfly is stamped in Pool Party ink onto scrap Whisper White card stock, then punched with the Bitty Butterfly Punch. It's adhered with a Glue Dot and the wings are bent upward. Two small Pearl Jewels create the butterfly body.
Matching Envelope—I don't always do it, but it's so much fun to create a matching envelope for cards, especially when they're these cute mini note cards! I stamped the screen image in Pool Party, the leaves in Crumb Cake and the postmark in Blackberry Bliss. Very nice!
