Thanks For Being An Icon Card
This one is kind of an old-time rock & roll card and I love it! It’s the 5th card from my Rock & Roll Suite LIVE Class!
Background Basics
I started by adding some Coastal Cabana ink to a 2-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper with a Blender Brush. The soft bristles of the brush apply the color very lightly, allowing you to layer the color to get the richness that you want. You could also simply drag the DSP over the top of the Coastal Cabana ink pad to get a full, deep color. I adhered it to a Coastal Cabana card base.
Focal Point Foundation
I created a fun foundation for the microphone and sentiment by die-cutting Stylish Shapes circles to mimic the look of a record album. The larger Basic Black circle represents the vinyl and the smaller Basic White circle is the album label. The element is mounted onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive.
Focal Point
I stamped a Rock Star sentiment in Memento Black ink onto a 3-5/8″ x 1″ piece of Crushed Curry and popped it up with Dimensionals. Next, I stamped the Rock Star microphone in Memento Black ink onto Basic White and die-cut it with the coordinating Rock Star die. It’s colored with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Markers and popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches
I stamped a few Rock Star lightning bolts in Coastal Cabana ink onto the card base around the microphone. Then I added some Coastal Cabana accents from the now retired Lightning & Stars Embellishments. Just awesome!
