Today, I'm sharing the details of the second card from this stamp-a-stack class.  You can see the first card design here: Lost Lagoon & Gold Embellished Ornaments Card.

Silver Hanging Ornament Cards  
   
Like the first card, our second class card design also highlights the beautiful die-cuts from the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits is brilliant foil!  We'll be using the Embellished Ornaments to create the pretty holly boughs to create the look of a hanging ornament.

Background Basics—I love how this card is assembled so that the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Real Red card stock layer shows through the die-cut ornament shape cut from the 3-3/4" x 5" Whisper White layer.  Everything is eventually mounted onto a Garden Green card base.

Holly Boughs—Start by stamping the holly leaves at the top of the Whisper White piece.  I used a Garden Green Stampin' Write Marker to color the leaves directly on the rubber stamp.  Then, I colored the berries with a Real Red Marker directly on the rubber.  After everything is colored, I huffed on the stamp to re-moisten the ink, then stamped the two-color image.  I love this classic multi-color technique!  
 
Die-Cut Ornament & Hanger—After stamping, I die-cut the ornament shape with the Delicate Ornaments Framelits.  I used two pieces of the new Silver Cording Trim to create the hanger.  First, I wrapped a small piece around the edge of the card and through the window and adhered on the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  I tied a separate bow with the Silver Cording Trim and added that to the ornament later with a Glue Dot.

Silver Ornament—I die-cut the gorgeous Silver Foil ornament with the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits.  I highly recommend purchasing the Precision Cutting Plate to make it easier to cut these intricate pieces.  I run my ornament through two times and it cuts cleanly and releases easily from the die without having to use wax paper or dryer sheets.  You do still have to poke out the little pieces with a Piercing Tool, but they come right out.  
 
Precision Plate Tips—The Precision Plate replaces the bottom cutting plate and is recommended to be used with the original Multipurpose Platform, not the Magnetic Platform. 
 
Adhering the Ornament—I used just one Glue Dot to attach the ornament at the top, because I wanted the bottom to be free, so it looked more like a hanging ornament.

Sweet Sentiment—I finished the card with a sentiment from the Embellished Ornaments set, stamped in Garden Green.

Inside Décor—The stamp set also comes with a nice phrase that is perfect for the inside of the card.  I added another holly branch for some pretty matching details!

Complete Supplies List—"Clear mount" is a rubber stamp to be used on a clear acrylic block, "Photopolymer" is the see-thru style of stamps, also used with acrylic blocks.
