Dear Friend Embossed Birthday Blooms Cards

I am loving this pretty card from our upcoming 20-Card Catalog & Sale-a-Bration Kickoff Party! It's so pretty and surprisingly quick to stamp & assemble! I hope you can come and create this with us next Sunday!

Background Basics—I stamped the Birthday Blooms image twice in VersaMark ink onto a 5" x 3-3/4" Whisper White card stock. I embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder. I added a strip of the new Pool Party Glitter Ribbon and secured the ends on the back with SNAIL. The layer is adhered to a Pool Party card base.

Elegant Embossing—The Birthday Blooms flower image is designed for coloring, but it's also a fantastic image for a simple & elegant background! Don't you think?

Sweet Sentiment—I cut a fishtail on the bottom of a 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White before embossing a Birthday Blooms sentiment on the top. Next, I added SNAIL adhesive over the back of the element, wrapped Silver Thread around my fingers about 5 times and stuck it onto the SNAILed back to create the loops. I added Dimensionals over the top of the thread to help secure it in place, then attached the sentiment to the card front.

I love how the glitter ribbon and silver accents work so well together, but I wanted to try it in gold, too!

Two Cool—I tried the gold embossing on Very Vanilla card stock on this vertical version.

Accents—I swapped out the Silver Thread for Gold Thread and substituted the Crochet Trim Ribbon for a softer look. Which one do you like better?

Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.
