Happy Thoughts with Painted Texture Cards
The final pair of cards from my Happy Thought LIVE Class features a criss-cross style layout. Pick your favorite pattern of Flower & Field DSP, add one of the versatile Happy Thoughts greetings, tie some ribbon around the layers and add some sparkle. Easy-peasy!
Background Basics—I started by embossing a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Pool Party with the new Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, then adhered a 3" x 4" piece of Flower & Field DSP to it. I added a 5-1/4" x 1-1/4" strip of Just Jade on the bottom half, then tied some Bumblebee Gingham Trim around the layers. They are mounted onto a traditional Basic Black card base.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Happy Thoughts greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a Basic White Ornate Frames die-cut label, then popped it up with Dimensionals. I punched a Granny Apple Green Sprig and tucked it under the label with a Glue Dot. I finished by adding a single Mango Melody Holiday Rhinestone.
Two Cool—The background and card base are both in Poppy Parade cardstock, and I selected another Flower & Field pattern.
Card Décor—This time, I stamped one of the larger Happy Thoughts phrases onto a Very Vanilla strip. It's tied with the Very Vanilla Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon and decorated with Merry Merlot Holiday Rhinestones. I love the larger sentiments that can be used inside or on the card front. Two cool!
