Playful Pets Sweet & Simple Card

My final card from this week's LIVE Class Kit is sweet & simple! I'm loving the coordinating dog-themed DSP on this one!

Background Basics—I adhered a 5-1/2" x 1-3/4" strip of Playful Pets DSP, a 5-1/2" x 3/4" strip of contrasting DSP, and a 5-1/2" x 3/8" strip of Real Red cardstock across the front of a Basic Black card base. I tied some Playful Pets black/white baker's twine around the card front, fraying the ends.

Dapper Dog—I stamped the Pampered Pets dog image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White, then colored it in with Stampin' Blends. I used Smoky Slate for the dog body and Real Red for the collar. The dog is die-cut with the Pets Dies. I also stamped the bowl in Memento Black and colored it in with Real Red Blends, hand-cutting the image. Both are popped up onto a Whisper White Stitched Shapes circle die-cut. I also stamped a sentiment in Memento Black onto the circle before popping it up with Dimensionals. So quick & easy!

Playful Pets Fur-Ever Friends Card

Oh my word…this card by Mary Anne Grimmer is super-cute! I absolutely adore the fun details she added!

Background Basics—Mary Anne began her card with a 4" x 5-1/4" layer of Real Red cardstock onto a Whisper White Thick card base. She adhered a 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" strip of Playful Pets DSP down the center, then added a couple of 1-1/4" squares of complementing DSP on each side, just a little off-set. The Layering Circles Basic Black circle die-cut, embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, brings the background together providing a focal point foundation.

Playful Pooch—Mary Anne stamped and colored the Pampered Pets pooch with Memento Black and Smoky Slate Blends, but it's the collar that is the awesome accent! She tied a Playful Pets Trinket to the Real Red Stitched Satin Ribbon and adhered it to the collar with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. So sweet!

Fantastic Feline—Mary Anne colored her kitty with Crumb Cake Blends into a calico patterns. The cat is playing with a little baker's twine "yarn" from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack. I love how she coiled the twine into a circle with Multipurpose Glue to mimic a ball of yarn. How fun!
