"Last Thursdays" Monthly Card Class

My "Last Thursdays" card class is coming up this Thursday, December 27, at 6:30pm at my Too Cool Stamping Studio in Fort Wayne, IN. Make 4
cards for $10 or the class is FREE with an order* placed at the event.

This month, we'll be doing some versatile "thinking of you" cards perfect for after-Christmas or any time of year!

You Are Loved Oval Floral—A fun, oval-embossed focal point featuring coloring with markers. A nice "anytime" or Valentine's card.
Affection Collection Layered Collage—Choose the "love" or "friend" version to try some layered stamping.
Aviary Hi—Two-step stamping has never been cuter with these bird friends!
Friendship Prints Thanks—Use the Festival of Prints Pack and Dazzling Diamonds for a pretty patterned thank you card.

Can't make it to my class? Class Card Kits are available to purchase! I include all the pre-cut, pre-punched, and pre-die-cut card supplies, plus embellishments, for all four cards. The Kits do not include pre-stamping, per Stampin' Up! policy.

Please note:
You'll need to add your own stamped images, inks, and adhesives to
complete the cards. Kits available while supplies last. Available in
the US only.

My "Last Thursdays" class was my last chance to focus on a couple more Holiday Catalog items that I wanted to use before they were gone on January 2, 2013. I had great plans to do Christmas cards with the awesome Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Pack, but never got it done. Thankfully, the patterns are versatile enough to use anytime!

This card design is a perfect way to really highlight how well the colors and patterns of these cute 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" papers flow together. You get 48 sheets on a pad: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs for LOTS of possibilities!

The card base is Very Vanilla with a Cherry Cobbler 5-1/4" x 4" layer. I cut the plaid background paper at 5-1/8" x 3-7/8".

The Island Indigo strip is 1" x 5-1/8", the Early Espresso strip is 1" x
3-3/4", and the Cherry Cobbler strip is 1-1/2" x 3-1/2". Fish-tail the
banners with the corner of a 1" Square Punch.

I used all the same paper measurements for banners on this card, just layered them all on a different background.

I stamped the lovely Friendship Preserves image in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla. I stamped it a second time in Cherry Cobbler and hand cut the "a bunch" banner to paper-piece on top of the image. The "Thanks" was colored with Island Indigo ink applied with a Blender Pen, then sparkled with Dazzling Diamonds adhered with a 2-Way Glue Pen.

The image is die-cut with the Window Frame Framelits, then layered on another Island Indigo die-cut that's been pierced with the help of the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack templates. I love, love, LOVE the look of that framelit shape!
