Hi Stamping Friends!

This month certainly isn't going as I had planned, but I'm plugging away to try to get back into my regular routine.  Last night, I needed some quick help coming up with ideas for today's "Last Thursdays" class.  I'll admit that I'm usually behind on things, but I don't know if I've ever not known what cards I'm doing the night before!  I didn't panic, though. I just knew it was time to CASE—Copy and Share Everything—from some of my stamping friends!

Swap Cards To The Rescue!

I knew I wanted to do my recent Watercolor Resist Lighthearted Leaves card for one of the designs (shown at top left), but I CASEd the remaining three from other fabulous stampers.  Here is a little info about each one…

3michelle reynolds - acorny thank you

Created by Michele Reynolds at Inspiration Ink.

Acorny Dropping By To Say Hi—We'll be re-creating Michele Reynolds' card featuring the Acorny Thank You stamp set and Acorn Builder Punch.  Save 15% by purchasing them both together in the Acorny Thank You Bundle.  The 4" x 5-1/4" Tangelo Twist background includes a 4" x 1-1/2" panel that's embossed with the Decorative Dots folder and a 3/4" wide strip of paper from Into The Woods Designer Series Paper

Acorn Tag Focal Point—I love her tag, but I didn't have the Ornate Tag Topper Punch, so we'll be using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch for my cards on the 2" x 4-1/2" Soft Suede tag.  I love the bottom edge of her tag, which is cut with the Tiny Wave Rotary Trimmer Blade.  The 2" x 3/4" acorn patterned is also from Into The Woods. The acorns are stamped in Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist with Soft Suede and Early Espresso caps. The tag is finished with some Early Espresso Cotton Ribbon tied with White Baker's Twine.

Woodland leaves

CASEd from Dawn Olchefske at DO Stamping.

Among The Branches Autumn Wishes Card—For the third card, I CASE'd one from Dawn Olchefske featuring the Among The Branches Bundle, which includes the fun Among The Branches stamp set and uber-cool Woodlands Textured Impressions Folder.  <<This is a must-have folder!

Background Basics—I embossed the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake with the Woodland trees, then lightly sponged Crumb Cake ink over the trunks with a Sponge Dauber.  Then, I added Among The Branches leaves in Tangerine Tango, Hello Honey and Crumb Cake.  If I were to do it over, I'd use Soft Suede instead of Crumb Cake, so the those leaves stood out a little more.  I tied some Very Vanilla Thick Baker's Twine around the background before mounting it on a Crumb Cake card base.

Autumn Focal Point—I stamped the circle sentiment from the Among The Branches in Soft Suede, punched it with the 2" Circle Punch and popped it with Dimensionals.  I stamped and hand-cut one of the leaves to accent the circle.

Last thursdays sept - grateful leaves 3

CASEd from Nancy Lewis.

Sponged Vintage Leaves Grateful Card—The last card was CASE'd from Nancy Lewis and it features the beautiful leaves from the Vintage Leaves stamp set.  I love the plain 5-1/4" x 4" Very Vanilla background mounted onto a Very Vanilla card base.  I added some Bohemian Washi Tape for a touch of my own style.  The sentiment is from For All Things (clear, wood), and it's stamped in Early Espresso.

Last thursdays sept - grateful leaves 2

Lovely Leaves—I stamped the Vintage Leaves oak leaves in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla, then sponged on Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze and Delightful Dijon inks with Sponge Daubers before die-cutting them with the coordinating Leaflets Framelits.  Don't forget that you can save 15% when you purchase the Vintage Leaves stamps and Leaflets Framelits together in the Vintage Leaves Bundle

Our Gold Encore Metallic Ink is retired, but Nancy used it on her project and I loved how it looked.  It's stamped with the splatter image from the Gorgeous Grunge (clear, wood) stamp set.

I finished the card with a double-bow in Linen Thread attached with a Glue Dot.

I'd Love To Hear From You! Do you like to CASE cards, or do you create your own projects?  If you do CASE, where do you get your ideas?  Leave me a comment at the bottom of the page!
