Hi Stamping Friends!

The "Last Thursdays" Monthly Card Class is this Thursday, October 26!  We'll be creating a four cards—two all-occasion cards & two holiday cards—featuring some fun techniques like heat embossing & coloring with the new Stampin' Blends Markers!  All of the cards use beautiful Designer Series Papers from Stampin' Up!, and many of them are included in this month's Buy 3, Get 1 FREE Designer Series Paper promo!

Today, I'm sharing one of the class projects…a sweet little card with some bright & cheery leaves & blooms!

Whole Lot of Lovely Leaves & Blooms Cards

I love layers, patterns & textures and this delightful card has them all!  It features the beautiful Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper and Beautiful Bouquet stamp set!

Whole Lot of Lovely Leaves Bouquet - tranquil tide

Background Basics—I started by embossing a 5" x 3-3/4 layer of Tranquil Tide card stock with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Texture Impressions Folder.  TIP: Remember to lightly spritz the card stock before embossing for nice, deep & crisp texture.  It's matted onto a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" Basic Black, then mounted onto a Tranquil Tide card base.

Lovely DSP—I added a 4-3/4" x 1-3/4" strip of my favorite pattern of Whole Lot of Lovely DSP across the front of the card with SNAIL.  The end is fishtailed into a banner shape with super-sharp Paper Snips.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Beautiful Bouquet saying in Memento Black Ink onto a Stitched Shapes circle die-cut from Whisper White card stock.  It's layered onto a Tangerine Tango scallop circle, die-cut with the Layering Circles Framelits, then popped up with Dimensionals.

Bitty Bouquet—I decorated the circle with some die-cuts from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits.  I stamped the larger and smaller Beautiful Bouquet blossoms in Pool Party ink onto Pool Party card stock.  I added a Memento Black flower center image on the small flower, then die-cut both with the framelits.  The small flower is attached with a Glue Dot and the larger flower is popped up.

I also die-cut the Pear Pizzazz and Soft Suede leaves with the same Bouquet Bunch Framelits.  They are adhered with Multipurpose Glue that was lightly sponged onto the back.

Bundle It & Save—Purchase the Beautiful Bouquet and Bouquet Bunch Framelits together in a Bundle to save 10% off the cost of ordering them separately.

Finishing Touches—The focal point is finished with a Flirty Flamingo Baker's Twine bow.  I have to admit that I cringe a little when I use a color that doesn't "perfectly" match, but I thought the twine still looked fine and added a sweet touch.

Two Cool—My second version has a vertical layout with a lighter color combination.  The textured background is in Pear Pizzazz and it's layered onto a Pool Party card base.

Bouquet—The only other things I changed on the card were the Beautiful Bouquet greeting and the die-cut leaf shape is now Tranquil Tide to contrast the Pear Pizzazz background.
