Dashing Deer with Washi Tape Cards

Washi tape makes it quick & easy to add colorful accents to cards and I used the Suite Season Washi Tape on today's cards. Use a little or a lot for fun & festive looks!

Background Basics—I added a strip of Cherry Cobbler polka dot Suite Season Washi Tape down each side of a Mint Macaron card base, about 1/8" in from the edge.

Sweet Sentiment—Next, I stamped a Dashing Deer sentiment in Cherry Cobber ink onto a 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Beautiful Border—I colored the Dashing Deer poinsettia border with the Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce Stampin' Write Markers directly on the rubber stamp, then stamped the image right above the sentiment.

Recessed Deer—I used the Detailed Deer Thinlits dies to cut out a dashing deer shape at the top of the stamped piece, then popped it up onto the card front with lots of Dimensionals. I love this recessed look!

Finishing Touches—I dressed up the deer with a retired Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine bow, attached with a Glue Dot. I also added some iridescent Adhesive-Backed Sequins floating around the deer. Two Cool—My second version is stepped up with lots of washi tape and some copper accents!

Background Basics—I started with a Merry Merlot card base, then added 1/2" x 5-1/2" strips of Copper Foil along each side. This time I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green ink at the bottom of the 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" Whisper White panel.

Dashing Décor—I created a colorful foundation for my deer by adding strips of the Suite Season Washi Tape across the background. Then, I die-cut a Copper Foil deer with the Detailed Deer Thinlits and popped it up with Dimensionals. Stunning!
