Hi Stamping Friends!

I'm up to my eyeballs in BOGO-prep and you'll be happy to know that I'm now in a very "get rid of this" mood! It sure didn't start that way!

Yesterday, as I was doing a more thorough clearing of the retired items from my shelves, I was feeling sad about parting with some of the more recent stamp sets. But, I'm over it! I have only saved some of my most used sentiment stamps, and a handful of my favorite sets that I think I may use again. Other than that, it's adios old stamps! It's a liberating feeling!

Let's take a look at another card design from this week's "Last Thursdays" Class!

I think the Designer Series Papers from our new Annual Catalog are better than they've been in a long time! I love the color combinations! One of my favorites is the new English Garden papers! Today's card features that English Garden paper and shows just how fast & easy it is to assemble a lovely card using DSP as the background!

Background Basics—I paired two English Garden DSP patterns to create the soft, floral backdrop for these cards. One panel measures 5" x 1" and the other measures 5" x 2-3/4" and they are both adhered to a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Night of Navy card stock.

Golden Accents—I covered the seam between the DSP with a 1/2" wide strip of Gold Foil. Then I wrapped some Gold Baker's Twine around the whole layer and tied into a double-knot. It's all adhered to a Soft Suede card base.

Happy Focal Point—The Tin of Cards stamp set is designed to work with the awesome Tin of Cards Kit projects, but they truly are versatile enough to use on their own! I stamped the greeting onto Whisper White card stock in Night of Navy ink, then die-cut it with a brand new shape from the Tags & Labels Framelits. Love those new shapes! It's matted onto another Soft Suede die-cut from these nested dies and popped up with Dimensionals.

Petite Blooms—I accented the sentiment with a couple of Petite Petals flowers stamped in Night of Navy and stamped off once for the lighter color. They're punched out with the coordinating Petite Petals Punch. I finished off the card with a few Gold Sequins in the flower centers and near the greeting.

Two-Cool—For my vertical version, I used the same elements, but flipped over the floral print to use the dotted watercolor pattern. I love the addition of the Mint Macaron color—a beautiful color combo!

Sweet Sentiment—I used a second phrase from the Tin of Cards stamp set here, and added a Mint Macaron flower. Pretty, pretty, pretty!
