Magnificent maple - two cool

I really didn't think that I needed it, but I'm loving the beautiful Magnificent Maple single stamp for my autumn cards this year!  The leaves are so bold and pretty!  We'll be making this lovely Fall card at my "Last Thursdays" event on Wednesday!

Magnificent maple - birthday

This stamped collage background is the perfect style for One-Sheet Wonder!  You could stamp an entire piece of 8-1/2" x 11" Whisper White card stock, then cut them up and use on 4 or more cards to create a complete set!

The base of my card is Cajun Craze and I used a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Sky to frame the 3-3/4" x 5" stamped layer.

Magnificent maple - birthday 3

Collage Background Steps:

  • Stamp the Magnificent Maple three times in Cajun Craze.
  • Stamp it a couple more times in Crushed Curry.
  • Stamp the Gorgeous Grunge lines image in Baked Brown Sugar several times coming in from the side edges.
  • Add medium splotches from Gorgeous Grunge in Soft Sky.
  • Add splatter image in Crushed Curry.

Magnificent maple - birthday 2

I pulled a couple of strands from a 15" piece of the 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon to wrap and tie around the stamped layer.  I love the thickness and crinkled texture of these strands of burlap—and cost-effective, too!

Next, I stamped a Perfectly Penned greeting in Soft Suede onto a 3-3/4" x 1-1/4" piece of Whisper White.  It's popped up with Dimensionals.

I finished off the sentiment with one Soft Sky Candy Dot accent.

Magnificent maple - celebrate

TIP: My tip on stamping the leaves, other than be sure to use the Stampin' Scrub in between colors, is that less is more.  I kept getting carried away and adding more and more leaves on several first attempts, until it was too busy and crowded.  I'd stick with three in one color and two in another.

Magnificent maple - celebrate 2

I cut a fish-tail at the end of my sentiment on this version.
