Hi Stamping Friends!
We're about one week away from official release of the 2017 Holiday Catalog—woohoo! Since we are SO close to the release, I designed next week's "Last Thursdays" Monthly Card Class to feature several new products from that catalog, coming out on September 1!
Today, I'm sharing a couple of cards created with the GORGEOUS new Painted Harvest stamp set!

Painted Harvest Beautiful Bouquet Card
I predict that the Painted Harvest stamp set will be a big, BIG seller from the upcoming Holiday Catalog. It's awesome! The two-step sunflower images are designed for easy layering and provide a beautiful, watercolor look.
Most of the samples I've seen are inked in varying shades of yellows and oranges that typically represent these late-summer flowers. But I wanted to try some alternate colors that weren't quite as "fall" looking. The result was a much more soft & serene card that is ideal for birthday or thinking of you cards any time of the year!
Pretty Painted Flowers—I started with a 5" x 3-3/4" Whisper White piece for the stamped background. To create each of the three flower images, I stamped the larger Painted Harvest images in Soft Sky two times, directly over the top of each other, rotated just slightly to create the illusion of more petals. I stamped again with the detailed flower stamp in Soft Sky over the top. I love that you don't need to line up the petals and flowers perfectly to get a nice-looking flower. They look amazing every time! I stamped the flower centers in Crumb Cake twice, directly over the top of each other, and rotated slightly to better fill in the white edges.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Beautiful Bouquet greeting in Soft Suede. I love that these flowers look fantastic with phrases from lots of different sets!
Leaves & Dots—I stamped the watercolor leaves image in Pear Pizzazz in-between the flowers, then added some dot clusters in Crumb Cake ink to fill in the blank spots. I mounted the layer onto a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" Crumb Cake mat.
Finishing Touch—I pulled out a couple strands of thread from the Burlap Ribbon and tied them around the two layers, knotting them in the back. I tied a separate double-thread bow and used a Glue Dot to attach it over the front of the thread. I mounted the entire layer onto the Soft Sky card base with Dimensionals.
Two Cool—My second version shows the flowers in Powder Pink and changes the card to a vertical orientation.
I love the detailed layers of the flowers that are achieved without even having to line up everything! Too Cool!
