Perfect blend - two cool

I've been so excited about using this fun coffee cup set!  I'm not a hot coffee drinker (I love frappuccinos!), but this Perfect Blend set is so CUTE!  (And, it's only $10.95 for the clear mount style!)  You know you'll be giving out Starbucks gift cards to somebody this holiday season, right?  Wouldn't this coffee cup image look so cute on a gift card holder?!  Just sayin'.

I wanted to give my "Last Thursdays" class attendees a "taste" of this cute set by creating this adorable card that I CASEd from a swap at Convention.

Did I CASE you from Convention swaps?  Contact me and I'll credit you!

Background—My Early Espresso card base has a 5-1/4" 2-1/4" strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock on the bottom half.  It's texture embossed with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder.  The top is a piece of 5-1/4" x 1-3/4" Crumb Cake.

Paper-Pieced Coffee Cups—I stamped the coffee cup image twice in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla card stock, then hand-cut them out (sorry, there's not a matching framelit, but you can do it!).  Then I stamped the images again on two patterns of paper from the Season of Style DSP.  Cut out the DSP pieces and adhere them to the cups. TIP: Don't waste your DSP!  Cut a small 1-1/4" square piece to stamp only the center of the image.

Lip Prints—Make sure to add lipstick stains!  I picked up a little bit of Cherry Cobbler ink with my Blender Pen and colored around the drinking holes.

Coffee Rings—Did you see the coffee stains on the top of the card?!  I love this detail!  I had an empty frappuccino bottle (more coffee, how ironic) in my craft room, so I stamped with the mouth of the bottle in Crumb Cake.

I added some Season of Style Washi Tape for another pop of color.

Sentiment—I stamped the phrase in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch.

I gave my card a bit of a holiday theme with the Designer Paper that I selected.  But, you could change up the tone with fall, birthday, or floral colors and patterns.
