The first card is a Black & Very Vanilla sympathy card, then I kicked it up a notch with color and glitter for pretty birthday card!

Background Accents—I started by stamping the flourish from Everything Eleanor in StazOn Black onto a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  Then I added a 3-7/8" x 1" strip of Modern Medley Designer Series Paper along the bottom.  I mounted it on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock, so just a hint of a frame shows.

Butterflies—I stamped two large and two small butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri set in StazOn Black and punched them out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and Bitty Butterfly Punch.  They are attached with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches—The Simply Sketched stamp greeting was also stamped in StazOn Black, then cut out with the cute little label shape from the new Circle Card Thinlit set.  It is the perfect size for so many phrases—an extra bonus from an already fun interactive die set!

I wrapped the card background with Crochet Trim before mounting on a Very Vanilla card base.

The subtle touch of color and sparkly details give the second card a more light-hearted feel!

Colored Butterflies—I used a Blender Pen to add So Saffron and Pink Pirouette ink to the butterfly images before punching them out.  For the large butterflies, I started with the pink in the center and blended outward with the yellow on the tips.  The smaller butterflies have pink on the edges and yellow in the middle.

After punching them out, I colored over the top of the images with a 2-Way Glue Pen and covered it with Dazzling Diamonds.  So sparkly and pretty!  Instead of Dimensionals, this time I bent the wings upward and adhered the center with two Glue Dots.
