Reverse Words Two-Tone Butterfly Cards—The two stamps in the Reverse Words set give the appearance of a beautiful ink-washed background! I thought it would be fun to make it a blend of colors, so I pulled out my Stampin' Write Markers for some direct-to-rubber coloring! We'll be creating this card at the "Last Thursdays" class!

Background Basics—I started with a 1" strip of the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper adhered along the bottom of a Rich Razzleberry card base. I simply adore the color palette of these gorgeous papers!

Word Wash—To create the two-tone color wash look, I colored with the brush-tip end of the markers directly onto the stamp rubber. I started with the lighter Flirty Flamingo color on the top, then blended in the Sweet Sugarplum color on the bottom. Both color markers are in the 2016-2018 In Color Marker set. After coloring on the stamp, I "huff" on the stamp, then stamp it on the upper portion of a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Whisper White. I matted the layer onto a piece of 4-5/8" x 3-3/8" piece of Flirty Flamingo.

Bitty Bloomin' Butterfly—I punched a mini butterfly from the Blooms & Bliss DSP paper with the Bitty Butterfly Punch, then adhered the center of it with a Glue Dot. I added some Pearl Jewels to the center for the butterfly body.

Finishing Touches—Finally, I wrapped some Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon around the stamped layers, tied it into a double-knot and trimmed the ends. The layer is popped with Dimensionals.

Two Cool—I created a second version using a different pattern of Blooms & Bliss DSP for the color combo! The card base is Island Indigo.

Cool Cheers—This time, I used the Mint Macaron marker from the 2015-2017 In Color Markers and the Island Indigo marker from the Regals Markers set to create the wash. I wrapped it in Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon, too! That ribbon is so easy to tie into a pretty faux-bow!
