Retired Stamps & Accessories—While Supplies Last!

____________________________________________________________________

Hi Stamping Friends!

There's lots of fun going on in my Too Cool Stamping Studio today!  I'm busy putting together my Just Sayin' Class-To-Go Kits so I can mail them out later today, plus I'm putting the finishing touches on my "Last Thursdays" cards for our class this coming week!

Today's project is one of the card styles that we'll be creating at the "Last Thursdays" class.  I hope you can join us!  Let me know by Wednesday, May 28 at 5pm.

If there's one thing I've learned while stamping…you can never have enough birthday cards!  I finally broke out the Sketched Birthday set that I've had for quite a while and quickly discovered what a fun and versatile birthday set it is!  The cute line-images are perfect for birthdays at any age from 1 to 101!

Background Basics—Our 2013-2015 In Colors sound and look good enough to eat, so I thought they would be the perfect complement for the birthday cake!

I layered a 5-1/2" x 1-1/4" piece of Strawberry Slush on a Pistachio Pudding card base to start.  Then, I cut 4-1/4" x 3" Pistachio Pudding layer, embossed it with the Chevron Folder, and mounted it on a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" Whisper White mat.

Cake Medallion—I stamped the cake image in black on Whisper White, then die-cut it with the Circle Collection Framelits.  The cake is colored with Blender Pens and four yummy flavors: Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Pistachio Pudding.  I dazzled it up by coloring the icing and flame with a 2-Way Glue Pen and drizzling on some Dazzling Diamonds.

The circle is layered onto a 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch from Coastal Cabana.  Then it's popped up with Dimensionals over the top of a 1-1/4" x 3-1/2" Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper (retiring) banner.

Momento tuxedo black

The NEW Basic Black—The cake image is stamped with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink, which is a black ink that has been around awhile in the stamping world and will soon be available in the new Annual Catalog.

I'm SO VERY happy about this new black ink alternative for a couple of reasons!  The main reason for its inclusion in the catalog is that it is perfect for use with the new Blendabilities alcohol markers.  But, I love it even more because it's a permanent ink, in a true black color, that's the perfect alternative to the Basic Black Classic Ink Pad.  As you may know, Basic Black Classic Ink has been having smearing issues on white and vanilla card stock since it was introduced 2 years ago.  Now we have a new option that I highly recommend as a replacement!  It's also a less expensive option when compared to permenent StazOn Ink, although some would say it doesn't smell as good as StazOn!  I know how some of you like to sniff the "licorice" ink!  Haha!

Birthday Sentiment—The banner greeting is also stamped in Tuxedo Black, then outlined in Coastal Cabana ink, die-cut with the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelits, and covered in Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

I love the vertical version of this card, too!  I used all of the same elements and only changed the coloring on the sentiment…

This time, I colored the inside of the banner with Coastal Cabana ink and outlined it with Dazzling Diamonds.  It kind of looks like it's outlined in silver the way it shimmers!

I was having so much fun making this adorable card, that I mass-produced a few extras to have on hand.
