Soft & Shimmery Grateful Bunch Cards
I love the soft colors and elegant, feminine feel of these Grateful Bunch cards I created for my "Last Thursdays" class. I also love how the images in the Grateful Bunch stamp set layer together so effortlessly. The lacy border image makes a truly gorgeous element!
Background Basics—I started by stamping the dotted leaves image in Sahara Sand ink over the front of a Sahara Sand card base.
Lacy Layer—I stamped the beautiful lace border image in Sahara Sand ink across the top and bottom edges of the 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Very Vanilla card stock. The image is a little shorter than the width, so you'll need to stamp it twice, but the see-through photopolymer makes it easy to line up. I also lined up the literal edge of the photopolymer stamp (not the image) with the edge of the card stock in order to get a little non-stamped border. The layer is matted on a 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Blushing Bride, then adhered to the card front.
Shimmery Blooms—I stamped the Grateful Bunch trio of flowers in Sahara Sand ink onto both Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla card stock, then punched out the shapes with the Blossom Bunch Punch. I curved the petals using a Bone Folder, then attached the blooms to the card front with Glue Dots. After adding Pearl Jewels to the centers, I finished by painting on some shimmer with the Wink of Stella Clear glimmer brush. Ahhhh…so pretty!
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Grateful Bunch greeting in Blushing Bride, then very lightly added a tiny bit of Wink of Stella to the "awesome" word…just a little touch!
Two Cool—For my second card, I went for a horizontal base and stamped the leaves all the way around the edge of the card front.
This time I stamped the greeting in Sahara Sand and changed up the flower positioning a little. The whole focal layer is popped up with Dimensionals, too.
With the right greeting, this would make a lovely wedding or anniversary card, don't you think?
