There's an unassuming bundle in the new catalog that was a must-have for my stamp collection—Tasteful Textures! The pretty background patterns are terrific for elegant or vintage cards and the I love the cool, coordinating die-cut patterns from the Tasteful Backgrounds dies. I couldn't wait to try out the Recessed Windows technique with this awesome set!
Background Basics—We'll be creating this soft green card at my "Last Thursdays" card class. I started by stamping the Tasteful Textures floral cluster image in stamped off Mint Macaron on the upper left and lower right corners of a Soft Sea Foam card base. I embossed a 5-1/2" x 1-1/4" strip of Soft Sea Foam with the Subtle Embossing Folder and adhered that across the center of the card front.
Focal Point Foundation—I adhered a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Mint Macaron cardstock to the card front, then added a 3-7/8" x 2-3/4" piece of the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper on top of that.
Recessed Window Layer—I used the Tasteful Background dies to cut the pretty floral pattern into the 4-1/8" x 2-7/8" piece of Soft Sea Foam layer. I stamped it with a Tasteful Textures sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink, then popped it up with Dimensionals over the DSP. I LOVE this look!

Finishing Touches—I tied a bow in the Mossy Meadow Twine from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack and attached it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I finished by adding a few Soft Sea Foam sequins from the Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins pack.
Two Cool—On the second card, I started with the Tasteful Textures fleur de lis image, inked in Seaside Spray and stamped on the corners. I didn't want to cover up any of the pretty background design, so I left the textured layer off of this version. The background layer is Terracotta Tile cardstock and the Designer Series Paper is Woven Threads.
Focal Point Foundation—I die-cut the Seaside Spray top layer with another coordinating pattern from Tasteful Backgrounds and stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink.
Finishing Touches—I added a Whisper White Baker's Twine bow to this card and finished with a few Terracotta Tile Faceted Dots. Don't forget that you can get a pack of those for FREE when you place a $75 order with me this month with the Host Code: G3SG2XW6.
