Youre lovely window - two cool

I was in the mood to create a window card, so I set my sights on one final card using the Sale-A-Bration You're Lovely set.  The shapes of the two main images coordinate beautifully with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits.

Youre lovely window - lovely  Youre lovely window - lovely 4

Background Papers—I started by creating three background panels with some pretty papers from the Afternoon Picnic Designer Series Paper pack.  My panel measurements are: 1-1/2" x 5-1/4", 2-1/2" x 3-3/4", and 2-1/2" x 1-1/2".  I adhered the papers onto my Wisteria Wonder card base, which I cut to open vertically, so I could tie a ribbon around it later.

Window—Next, I selected the smallest Deco Label Collection Framelits and center it over the intersection of the three papers, which I had positioned to be at the top of the card.  With the card open (<<<very important!), run it through the Big Shot to cut out the window.

Layered Image—I stamped my image twice…first in Coastal Cabana to use as the bottom layer, and again in Old Olive for the top layer.  The bottom layer is die-cut with the same size framelit that I used for the window.  I punched the top layer with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch, colored in the flowers with the So Saffron Marker, and popped it up with Dimensionals.  A few teeny Pearl Jewels add a nice details to the flowers.  I absolutely LOVE the look of the layers coming through the window like it's in-set, don't you?

TIP: I adhered my image through the window for perfect positioning.

Window Treatment—To really make the focal point pop, I created a frame around the window with Wisteria Wonder card stock.  Simply position the smallest and next smallest framelits so that they are nesting together on some Wisteria Wonder card stock, and run them through at the same time.

I embossed my frame with the Square Lattice Texture Impressions Folder, then carefully adhered it around the window.

TIP: I used SNAIL to adhere my frame, but be careful…it's very easy to rip the paper because of the texture.  Apply the SNAIL slowly, so it doesn't peel back the card stock layers as you roll.

Ribbon—I finished off the card with a Summer Starfruit ribbon wrapped around the card front, tied and trimmed.

I repositioned the patterned paper panels on this horizontal card to create the window at the bottom right.

Popped Flowers—For this alternate image, I stamped first in Old Olive, then again on some scrap Very Vanilla card stock.  I colored in the flowers on the scrap piece, then hand-cut them and popped them up with Dimensionals.  I LOVE how they look, especially with the tiny pearls in the centers!  So sweet!  I colored in the flowers that are peeking out on the bottom layer with a Coastal Cabana marker.

Happy Sentiment—I thought the sentiment needed popped, too, so I stamped it on scrap in Coastal Cabana, then punched it with the Petite Curly Label Punch—perfect!
