Zany Zoo Ballerina Celebration Cards
Some of my favorite images from the Zoo Crew suite are the characters sporting a tutu! I knew that one pair of my class cards absolutely must spotlight these animals performing on a stage! The stage curtain die-cuts are the perfect detail!
Background Basics—For my class kit card, I started by adhering a 5-1/2" x 2" piece of Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper across the bottom of a Flirty Flamingo card base. I added a 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock along the left side, then tied some Petal Pink striped ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack around the card front.
Sensational Stage—I die-cut two Petal Pink curtains, as well as the scalloped valance, using the Zany Zoo Dies. They are adhered to a 3" x 3" piece of Basic White, then mounted onto a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Basic Black cardstock. I popped up the stage onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Lovely Leopard—I stamped the Zany Zoo leopard ballerina in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White, die-cut it with the coordinating Zany Zoo die, then colored it with Stampin' Blends Markers. The body is in Light Calypso Coral with a Petal Pink face stripe. The slippers are in Petal Pink. The tutu is a combination of Petal Pink with shaded details in Flirty Flamingo and the flower is in Sweet Sorbet. She's also popped up.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Zany Zoo sentiment in Memento Black onto a 2" x 1/2" strip of Basic White, then adhered to the stage with SEAL Adhesive.
Finishing Touches—I colored the Rhinestones with the Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Blends Marker, then sprinkled them around the card.
Inside the Card—I added a 5-1/4" x 3/4" piece of DSP to a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White. Then, I hand-cut the ballerina deer from the Zoo Crew DSP and added her with SEAL. I do not include these DSP elements for the inside of the card in the LIVE Class Kit. So cute!
Two Cool—For my second version, I started with a Pool Party card base and panel of Flirty Flamingo along the left side.
Perfect Performers—This stage has curtains in Coastal Cabana and spotlights two fuss-cut characters from the Zoo Crew DSP. I colored the meerkat's flower in Pool Party, and added Lemon Lolly color to her flower center, as well as the flower center on the hippo.
Finishing Touches—I moved the sentiment to the side, then finished with Rhinestone gems colored with a Dark Lemon Lolly Stampin Blends Marker.
Inside The Card—Another fussy-cut image from the DSP…this time a sweet sheep with a Sweet Sorbet and Lemon Lolly colored flower.
