Hi Stamping Friends,
Brrrrr! It's a blustery cold day here in Indiana with temperatures dipping down to -15° and wind chills around -45°. In other words…a perfect day to stay warm inside and stamp!
I'm still planning on having my "Last Thursdays" class tomorrow night, since it's supposed to be a little warmer (above 0°) and the winds should have died down by then. Today, I'm sharing the Last Lily sympathy card that we'll be creating at the event. I don't know about you, but I've unfortunately had to send out a lot of sympathy cards recently. It's always good to have a few of these cards on hand.
If you're in Fort Wayne, IN, come and stamp with me tomorrow!

Lasting Lily Gingham Sympathy Cards
The Lasting Lily stamp set is so beautiful and so perfect for "thinking of you" and sympathy cards. The pretty peace lily images along with thoughtful sentiments and phrases makes this one stamp set that you'll definitely use over and over again. You can earn it for FREE when you place a $100 order during Sale-a-Bration.
Buffalo Basics—I adhered a 4-1/4" x 2-1/4" piece of the Highland Heather Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper to a Soft Sea Foam card base. I love these two soft spring colors together. This would actually make a nice Easter lily card, wouldn't it?
Lovely Lily—When stamping the Lasting Lily images, I like to start by stamping the larger flower first so that I know they have the positioning I want. I stamped that image in Highland Heather onto the top of a 3-1/4" x 4-3/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Next, I stamped the coordinating large stem in Old Olive ink. Notice that the top of the stem will overlap the bottom of the flower just a bit. If you get a white gap there, simply fill in using a Blender Pen with Highland Heather ink. I stamped the long leaf image next to the stem in Old Olive. I stamped the smaller flower next and added the smaller stem last. Finally, I popped up the stamped layer with lots of Dimensionals.
Delightful Detail—The Lasting Lily images are DisINKtive style stamps offering a fine details, almost like a photograph in a newspaper. I added a few Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins in a coordinating Soft Sea Foam color around the blooms.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Lasting Lily sentiment in Highland Heather onto Whisper White cardstock, then die-cut it with the Stitched Labels Framelits die. Ooh, I love that intricately cut and faux-stitched label! So lovely! It's popped up with Dimensionals. I finished up by adding an Old Olive Linen Thread bow with a Glue Dot.

Two Cool—My second card has a Night of Navy card base with a Balmy Blue Gingham Gala DSP accent. layer
