Hi Stamping Friends!
How are you feeling about the new 2023 In Colors? I know there have been some mixed reviews because they are not as bright as many would like. I've been having fun playing with all of these colors as I created cards for my In Color Club. I think you may be surprised about how versatile and refreshing these colors are when accented by other brighter colors.
Last night, I did a LIVE Class featuring my In Color Club cards and all of the fun color combos I used. Get a sampling of those cards by earning my Layering Leaves 5-Card LIVE Class Kit. Or, enjoy making all 20 cards as part of my In Color Club. Both are available through the end of the month. I'll be highlighting those cards and even more color combinations here on my blog through the end of May, as well!
Must Use Host Code C97SQNG2

Layering Leaves Copper Clay Hello Card
The rich, earthy tones from the 2023-2025 In Colors make them perfect for using as a "neutral" along with other brighter and contrasting colors. I love this beautiful Copper Clay color because it works so well with colors with both blue and orange undertones.
Background Basics—I started by stamping a Layering Leaves pattern onto a 4-1/4" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White. I stamped the solid leaf branch in Misty Moonlight, then the outline leaf branch in Copper Clay. I added some small sprigs in Blackberry Bliss, then filled in the spaces with the large leaf in Pool Party.
I layered the stamped piece onto a 4-1/4" x 4" piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock, then mounted it to a Copper Clay card base.
Sweet Sentiment—I adhered a 4-1/4" x 1/2" strip of Copper Clay In Color Designer Series Paper across the bottom of the stamped layer as a foundation for the sentiment. The Layering Leaves set has such beautiful sentiments! I stamped this one in Copper Clay ink onto a Pool Party All That die-cut label. I adhered a loop of Copper Clay Textured Ribbon behind it before popping it up with Dimensionals. I finished by adding some coordinating Copper Clay In Color Dots for a little shine! So lovely!
Copper Clay Color Combo #2—I started with Pretty Peacock solid leaf branch, then added Copper Clay outline leaf branch, Lost Lagoon solid flowers and Petal Pink large leaf to fill in the blanks. The stamped piece is layered onto Lost Lagoon and the die-cut label is Petal Pink.
Copper Clay Color Combo #3—I started with Sweet Sorbet solid leaf branch, then added Copper Clay outline leaf branch, Blackberry Bliss solid flowers and Petal Pink large leaf to fill in the blanks. The stamped piece is layered onto Blackberry Bliss and the die-cut label is Petal Pink.
Copper Clay Color Combo #4—The final card begins with Coastal Cabana solid leaf branch, then added Copper Clay outline leaf branch, Misty Moonlight solid flowers and Soft Sea Foam large leaf to fill in the blanks. The stamped piece is layered onto Misty Moonlight and the die-cut label is Soft Sea Foam.
