Layering Leaves Moody Mauve Sending Hugs Card

Moody Mauve reminds me a little of the 90s, but it's got an updated, richer feel. It pairs well with warm pinks and browns, muted tones and some contrasting yellows and greens. I think it will looks especially nice for flowers.

Background Basics—I started by embossing a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Moody Mauve cardstock with one of the cool 3D Basics Embossing Folders. I love this cross-hatch background. This folder pack is an Online Exclusive, so you can only find it at my Online Store, not in any catalog.

Next, I added a 1-1/2" x 4" piece of Crumb Cake on the left side and crossed it with a 5-1/4" x 1" piece of Moody Mauve In Color Designer Series Paper.

Lovely Leaves—I stamped the Layering Leaves sentiment in Moody Mauve ink onto a Basic White Countryside Corners die-cut label. Next I stamped a couple of solid branches in Flirty Flamingo and some outline branches in Pecan Pie. I filled in the spaces with Petal Pink twigs and some spotted texture.

I adhered a couple of Petal Pink Bough Punch branches to the card front, then popped the stamped label over the top with Dimensionals. I finished up with a few Moody Mauve In Color Dots.

Moody Mauve Color Combo #2—I have a strip of Mossy Meadow on the background and Lost Lagoon punched branches. Sentiment is Moody Mauve, solid branches in Lost Lagoon, outline branches in Mossy Meadow, twigs in Misty Moonlight and texture in Pool Party.

Moody Mauve Color Combo #3—This time the strip is in Fresh Freesia and the punched branches are in Gray Granite. Sentiment is Moody Mauve, solid branches in Old Olive, outline branches in Gray Granite, twigs in Fresh Freesia and texture in Bubble Bath. I also used the other side of the embossed texture for the background…Too Cool!

Moody Mauve Color Combo #4—The background strip is in Pecan Pie with Berry Burst for the punched branches. I stamped the sentiment in Berry Burst this time, with Moody Mauve solid branch, Pecan Pie outline branches, Bubble Bath fill for the outline branches and texture, and Berry Burst for the twigs.
