Leadership Fun With Friends & Big Announcements!

Hi Stamping Friends!

I'm home from the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference in Houston and it was a wonderful trip!  We got to hear some exciting new announcements, see awesome projects & demonstrations, learn how to better our businesses, and best of all, hang out with stamping friends old & new!

Stampin' Friends!  I had a blast laughing with and getting to know these amazing ladies at Benihana's!  The longer I'm with Stampin' Up!, the more I realize that it really is all about the relationships that you build through stamping with friends!

Manager's Reception!  One of my favorite parts of this year's Leadership was the fabulous Manager's Reception at the Houston Aquarium!  Stampin' Up! really knows how to throw a party!  They opened it up just for us to view the beautiful fish and sealife, ride the rides, and enjoy a smorgasbord of hors d'oeuvres!  Check out the video to see some of the fun we got to experience!

Did You Follow Me On Facebook?  I love that I come home from events like this with all kinds of new new product ideas and fun tidbits to share with you.  But, the new announcements are even more exciting!  If you've checked in at my Too Cool Stamping Facebook Page while I was gone, you have heard a few of the announcements already. If you don't already follow me, I invite you to do so right now.  There's always something going on over there that's sure to inspire you!

Doorprize jan 13

Facebook Door Prize Winner!  Speaking of my Too Cool Stamping Facebook Page…I promised to give away a $25 door prize to one of my page followers when I returned, so let's see who the winner is!

I used random.org to select the winner of the above door prize package, which included some Pool Party & Primrose Petals Core'dinations card stock, More Amoré DSP, Lacy Brocade Folder, Soda Pop Tops, Pink Two-Tone Ribbon and a Petite Curly Label Punch.  And the winner is…Angie Link!  Woohoo!

Exciting New Announcements From Leadership!

Star stamper

The Star Stamper Photopolymer Set above was an exclusive all-attendee giveaway at Leadership 2014.

More Photopolymer Stamps Coming Soon!  Sara Douglass announced that Stampin' Up! has now begun manufacturing the all-clear photopolymer stamps at their Kanab, Utah, plant, so we can expect to see more sets in this style of stamp in the upcoming Annual Catalog.  We received the Star Stamper set, which was only for Leadership attendees.  Demonstrators will be happy to know there is another set called "Best Decision Ever" that has similar "upline" stamps that will be available very soon at a discount!

Photopolymer Sets In DVD Cases—Sets will be coming in DVD-style stamp cases in the new catalog, rather than just a cello bag!  Woot!  Let's hear it for storage!

NEW Sands & Stripes Double Alphabet—Coming February 4, they'll be releasing a new double alphabet in photopolymer that's trendy, fun and much less expensive than other styles of stamps!  It's so cute!

Photopolymer In Paper Pumpkin Kits—Paper Pumpkin monthly kit subscribers will also start seeing photopolymer stamps in their kits beginning in February!  Want to join?  Subscribe at MyPaperPumpkin.com and please select me as your demonstrator!

Sample personalized name stamp

NEW Personalized Photopolymer Name Stamps—The above image is NOT the new stamp from Stampin' Up!  I wish I could show you the actual customizable stamp design that will be introduced on January 28th, but it's against SU policy.  However, If you like the design above that I found on eBay, then you'll love our new personalized stamp—it's very similar!  You'll be able to customize the monogram letter, the name in the center, plus add a line of type around the top and bottom of the circle like this one.  I like ours better!

Blendabilities swatches 2

NEW Stampin' Blendabilities Markers!  Are you ready for a whole new experience in markers?!  If you've ever tried alcohol-based markers, like Copic or Prismacolor, then you already know how much fun the new Blendabilities Markers will be!  These markers are permanent, like a Sharpie, but super-easy to blend together for beautiful shading and "watercolor" effects!

Stampin' Up! will introduce Blendabilities sometime in the first quarter with a small sampling of 12 colors: Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, Old Olive, Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder, Smoky Slate and Crumb Cake.

Each color will have three shades of markers in a package: light, medium and dark.  One of the shades will be the actual color, and the other two will be lighter or darker variations for ultimate blendability!  Each marker has a brush tip and a medium point nib (larger than the fine tip on our current markers).  3-Packs of Markers will be $11.95.

Why Blendabilities Are Awesome!  You'll be able to blend color easily on card stock without pilling!  They color permanently on non-porous surfaces like Window Sheets!  Plus, you can even alter the colors of any embellishment, like Rhinestones, Pearls, buttons, and more!  This is going to transform the way we color Stampin' Up! images!  There's also a Color Lifter Marker for $4.95 that you can use to "erase" coloring mistakes!

Don't worry, we're not getting rid of our current markers…this is an addition!  Yippee!

NEW Momento Tuxedo Black Ink—As you may know, Stampin' Up! has been having trouble with the formula of our current Basic Black ink pad ever since we switched to firm foam ink pads.  They'll soon be making Momento Black Ink available for purchase to use as your basic, water-based, permanent black ink. It works perfectly with the new Blendabilities Markers. Yay!  I'm so very, very happy about this!

NEW Texture Boutique Embossing Machine—We didn't get many details on this, but Stampin' Up! will soon offering a mini-Big shot machine that is less expensive and only does embossing.  We had a similar product a few years ago.  It's like the "gateway drug" to the Big Shot!  LOL!  It will be released on January 28!

  1. Angie,
Thanks so much for compiling all of this new info into a great post. Now I have one place I can go to to see all of what is coming up. I don’t get to go to Leadership so I really appreciate knowing what is happening.
