Do you want a Holiday Catalog from me? I need you to check something on your Stampin’ Up account. MANY of you have the “opt out of communications” checked. We have a new system and this is the first time I’m ordering catalogs under the new system. I can’t mail you a catalog if you have this box unchecked. Many of you who order from me regularly have the opt-out option chosen.

To Check Your Opt-In Status (follow the screen shot photos):

1. Go to your SU account and click on your name in the upper right hand corner. Click “Demonstrator” on the drop-down list.
2. I should be listed there as your demonstrator. Click “View” next to my name.
3. Under “Opted In For Contact” heading, make sure the toggle switch is green and says Opted In.
4. Updated 7/23: You also need to have your phone number completed in the Account Settings section to complete the Opt-In. (Some glitch they are experiencing)

Let’s Celebrate Cocktail Duo Cards

The Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper provides several ways to decorate your projects with refreshing backgrounds and cool cocktail focal points. I used some of the DSP images for this quick & easy class card.

Background Pattern

I started by stamping the Cheers & Sips ice cubes image in Smoky Slate onto the top right and bottom left corners of a Cloud Cover card base. I actually preferred using Cloud Cover ink for this background pattern, but I wanted to provide an alternative, since the ink pad is not available.

In case you haven’t heard, the Cloud Cover ink has a negative quality response to the firm foam ink pad, so Stampin’ Up! has discontinued the ink pad. You can still enjoy the beautiful Cloud Cover color by using a Cloud Cover Refill Inker on an Uninked Ink Spot, sold separately as a pack of 5.

Background Basics

I embossed the 3″ x 4″ piece of Cloud Cover cardstock with the Glass & Garden Embossing Folder glass pattern. It’s mounted onto a 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Basic White. I tied some Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon around the layers and tied it into a double-knot before mounting the layers onto the card front.

Cool Cocktails

I hand-cut a couple of drinks from one of the patterns of Celebratory Sips DSP and layered them onto the card front with Dimensionals.

Sweet Sentiment

I stamped a Cheers & Sips sentiment in Real Red ink onto a Basic White Stylish Shapes small banner and popped it up next to the drinks.

Finishing Touches

I finished by adding a few Holographic Resin Dots around the drinks. I love how they look like bubbles or condensation. Terrific!

Mix & Match

There are lots of choices for mixing & matching with the Celebratory Sips DSP, including a variety of tall and small glasses, different colors and festive garnishes. Experiment with different contrasting colors, as well as where you choose to add the sentiment. I used Blackberry Bliss for the sentiment on this card.

Fancy Concoctions

I like this one with the tall drink on the right side. Just about any one of these pretty color combinations looks fantastic on that Cloud Cover background. Sentiment ink is Berry Burst on this card.

Cloud Cover Ink

Notice that my additional samples are all inked with Cloud Cover for the background ice cubes. I love that look! Sentiment ink is Real Red here.
