Hey Birthday Chick Let's Celebrate Cards
A cute character with a party balloon and sweet little die-cut streamers make these birthday cards festive and fun for any age! The Hey Birthday Chick Bundle makes it easy!
Background Basics—I started by embossing a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and mounting it onto a Thick Basic White card base. I added a 4" x 3/4" strip of Rococo Rose cardstock along the bottom for a pop of color. The large background panel is created with a 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Oh So Ombré Designer Series Paper layered onto a 2-3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Coastal Cabana. Birthday Chick—I stamped the Hey Birthday Chick image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock. It's colored in with Stampin' Blends Markers: Ivory and Soft Suede for the chicken feathers, Bermuda Bay for the plume and comb, Pumpkin Pie for the beak and feet and Rococo Rose for the balloon. I die-cut the image with the Birthday Chicks dies and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Celebration Details—I die-cut two Granny Apple Green streamers and adhered them to the top of the card with Liquid Multipurpose Glue. How fun! These two little pieces really make it festive!
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Hey Birthday Chick sentiment in Memento Black onto a Basic White Stitched So Sweetly die-cut. The shape of the sentiment fits perfectly in the shape of the die-cut! Love that! It's adorned with a single Rhinestone Jewel.
Two Cool—On the second version, I had a Mango Melody strip at the bottom and an Artistry Blooms DSP piece layered onto Melon Mambo. I moved that background panel to the other side, too. The streamers are die-cut from Magenta Madness.
Birthday Chick—I colored the balloon with Mango Melody and the chick's fancy feathers with Magenta Madness. The sentiment is positioned on the right side this time, and I added some Rhinestone Jewels to the Mango strip. So adorable!
