Today's cards have a fun summertime feel and they are perfect for summer birthdays for the guys in your life! You could easily change them into a Father's Day or thinking of you card by swapping out the sentiment.
Background Basics—I started by texture embossing a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock with the Seaside embossing folder. Then I adhered it onto a vertically-folded Thick Whisper White card base, with the "debossed" side up, with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
I added a 4" x 1-1/2" piece of So Saffron cardstock across the bottom and tied a double-strand of Linen Thread around the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Itty Bitty Birthdays sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock and die-cut it with the Lakeside Framelits dies. It's popped up onto the So Saffron layer with Dimensionals.
Summer Sailing—I die-cut a Whisper White large circle using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and stamped some Lilypad Lake wavy water across the bottom of it in Coastal Cabana ink. The circle is popped up with Dimensionals.
Then, I stamped the sailboat image in Memento Black onto Whisper White cardstock and colored them with assorted Stampin' Blends Markers. I used Light Night of Navy, Light Real Red, Light Pumpkin Pie, Light Balmy Blue, Dark Daffodil Delight and Dark Pool Party Blends. When I was done coloring, I die-cut them with the Lakeside dies and popped them up, as well.
Next, I stamped the sun image in So Saffron ink, die-cut it and popped it up.
If you look closely, you can see that I added some Wink of Stella shimmer to the waves on the circle, too!

Two Cool—My second card is very similar in a slightly different color combination.
Background & Sentiment—This time, I embossed a Balmy Blue background and used the raised texture side. The greeting is another one from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set.
Sailboat Focal Point—I stamped the waves in matching Balmy Blue and used colored the sailboats just a little bit differently. I also moved the circle to the right side of the card. I love playing around with the positioning of card elements for a slightly different look!
