Hi Stamping Friends!
The Lots To Love Box Framelits were designed to go with the Sure Do Love You stamp set, but the box is versatile enough to use for all kinds of occasions from birthday treats to wedding favors!
Today, I'm sharing how to create a window in the box, so you can see the treats inside! Last week, I shared the Lots To Love boxes that we'll be making with my Sure Do Love You class. Registration for that class closes today!

Lots To Love Birthday Window Treat Boxes
I love the beautiful pinks, corals and gold on the Painted With Love Designer Series Paper and it's not just for Valentine's Day! I decided to use some of my leftover paper from my Sure Do Love To class to make some sweet birthday treat boxes! I filled my treat box with some Valentine's heart-shaped chocolates and M&M's fun-size packs. It's large enough to hold gift cards, and all kinds of cardies—even some full-size chocolate!
- Die-cut two Melon Mambo sides of the box with the Lots To Love Box Framelits.
- Before folding on the score lines, adhere a 4-5/8" x 2-3/4" piece of Painted With Love Designer Series Paper to the front. Be sure to add adhesive to the center of the sheet, so all edges will be secure once the center is cut out.
- Die-cut a 3" wide oval window through both layers using the Layering Ovals Framelits.
- Adhere a 3-3/4" x 2-1/2" Window Sheet to the inside of the the window box with Tear & Tape Adhesive around the edges.
- Fold on all score lines.
- Add Tear & Tape to the outer edges of the side flaps.
- Attach the second side of the box to the window side oriented in the opposite direction, with the closure flap on the other side.
- Close the box flat, then peel off the backing paper of the Tear & Tape on the second side and fold up for perfect alignment.
Scallop Oval Border—Use the same size oval die, along with the next size up scallop oval die from the Layering Ovals Framelits to create the Melon Mambo skinny scallop border around the window. I ran both dies through the Big Shot at the same time.
Two Cool—My second version features a different pattern of the Painted With Love DSP.
Box Décor—I wrapped some 1/8" Gold Ribbon around the end of the box and tied it in a knot that will eventually be covered up by the sentiment. I stamped the Perennial Birthday sentiment in VersaMark ink onto a 4" x 7/8" piece of Whisper White, then sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder and heat-set with the Heat Tool. I fishtailed the ends with Paper Snips. The 4-1/2" x 1/2" Calypso Coral piece is also fishtailed and adhered to the back of the sentiment layer. I popped the sentiment with Dimensionals…just one on each end, so that the banner wouldn't dip in the center. Finally, I attached a 1/8" Gold Ribbon bow with a Glue Dot
I'd Love To Hear From You! Leave A Comment!
