Love What You Do In Color Mini Cards
My Top 5 Sales members for April each received a pack of assorted In Color cardstock, along with In Color ribbon and Refill Ink for one of the new In Colors as their reward. Inside the gift pack, they also received a little 3×3" handmade note card to match! A special thanks goes out to Peggy Tassler, who created all of the recognition cards for me this month!

Mini Note Card Basics—The Love What You Do background wash image was stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink onto a 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White. The trio of flowers was stamped over the top in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, leaving plenty of room for the Itty Bitty Greetings sentiment, also in Memento Black. If you have loved the all-occasion stamps from the retiring Teeny Tiny Wishes, you're going to love the updated Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set coming in the new catalog, by the way!
The flowers were "colored" by stamping the Love What You Do dot in the same Lovely Lipstick ink. So simple and cute! The stamped piece was layered onto a 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" Basic Black mat, then mounted onto a 3" x 3" Crumb Cake mini note card. It's finished with a double Linen Thread bow attached with a pinched Glue Dot. Don't forget that you can receive a pack of Linen Thread for FREE with your $50 order in May using Host Code 9QYUKNHH!
Dis-INK-tive Stamping—Each of the cards is stamped with a different In Color ink and this one spotlights in Grapefruit Grove! Sometimes I forget about the awesome quality of stamps that Stampin' Up! provides! For example, I love how you don't have to stamp off for the lighter background…the image is already designed to look like a light wash of color! The stamp isn't just a solid images, it has a gazillion little detailed dots that catch the ink and space it out to create that wash look! It's called a "Dis-INK-tive" stamp! Just one more reason I LOVE Stampin' Up! products!
Getting True Colors: Clean That Stampin' Scrub!—Wanna know what happens when you don't clean your Stampin' Scrub cleaning pad? You don't always get true ink colors! I really noticed it on this Pineapple Punch card. The background wash image must have had just hint of the reddish-gray ink residue that gets left on your stamps when the Stampin' Scrub gets dirty, because the color is a little more orange than it should be. You can see the actual color in the lower flower dot…so bright and cheery! I clean my Stampin' Scrub by taking out the pads and running them under tap water, scrubbing the surface with my hand, until the water runs clean. Sometimes, if it's really ugly, I might add a drop of Dawn dishwashing liquid.
The sentiment on this card comes from the Love What You Do stamp set, of course!
Love What You Do In Color Traditional Cards
For my other congratulations cards, Peggy created regular size cards that coordinated with the mini cards! These are both in Blueberry Bushel. The focal point on the large card is similar to the mini cards, but measure 3" x 3" for the White and 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" for the Black layers. The background of the card was a 4" x 5-1/4" Crumb Cake layer that was embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder, then adhered to a Crumb Cake card base.
Here are three more colors of the larger cards in my favorite "flower" In Color colors!
