Loyal Leaves You Are Strong Window Panel Cards
Window Sheets create a cool see-thru card front on these Loyal Leaves cards. I CASEd my own cards from about 5 years ago, which featured a similar leaves stamp set called Vintage Leaves. They are simple to assemble and such an unexpected style for the recipient! Too Cool for sure!
Background Basics—This version, with traditional fall colors, is featured in this week's LIVE Class Kit! The card base begins with a 5-1/2" x 6-1/4" piece of Soft Suede cardstock, scored at the 4-1/4" mark. The outer edge is a 3/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Soft Suede. I decorated the front panels with a 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" piece and 1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Suede, each embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
Window Panel—I finished the card front by adhering a 2-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Window Sheets. These sheets are clear and thick, providing a sturdy, non-flimsy, see-thru panel. I attached a strip of Tear and Tape along one side of the Window Sheet and attached it to the inside of the card front. Next, I added another strip of Tear & Tape on the other side of the Window Sheet, then lined up the 3/4" wide Soft Suede strip flush to the edge of the card to mount it on the other side. I show how easily it's done on the video.
Lovely Leaves—I stamped the Loyal Leaves collage onto a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. First I stamped the largest leaf in Mossy Meadow ink onto the piece two times. Next, I added three Cajun Craze leaf images. I finished by filling in the blanks with the last leaf in Gray Granite ink. It's mounted onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White and adhered to the inside of the card.
Be sure to position the strip so that it shows perfectly through the window card front. I love this look! Can you think of other stamped images that would look cool peeking out through the window?
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Loyal Leaves image in Gray Granite onto a Whisper White Tasteful Labels die-cut, then added a sentiment in Cajun Craze ink. It's popped up with two Dimensionals, placed at the ends so they do not show through the back of the window.
Finishing Touches—I colored a couple of Rhinestone Jewels with a Dark Soft Suede Stampin' Blends Marker and floated them around the sentiment. I finished by die-cutting a couple of Stitched Leaves shapes in Mossy Meadow cardstock and Copper Foil. The copper leaf is popped up with Dimensionals.
Two Cool—I'm loving this color combination! The card base is Misty Moonlight this time.
Lovely Leaves—I stamped the Loyal Leaves in Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue and Soft Suede inks this time. Oohh…pretty!
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the leaf in Balmy Blue onto the Tasteful Label die-cut and added the sentiment in Soft Suede ink.
Finishing Touches—The Rhinestones are in Soft Suede, and the leaves are in Soft Suede and Champagne Foil.
