The beautiful Magnolia Lane suite in the upcoming Annual Catalog includes some awesome new Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. Now, these are designed to be used in combination with the new Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack for quick and easy cards, but they are so fun to use with the Good Morning Magnolia stamps, too! I was inspired by a swap card I received by Judy Garza to stamp directly on these notes and color them with some Shimmer Paint. The results are spectacular! I show how to create these cards on my Facebook LIVE Replay video posted below.
Note Cards & Envelopes—The package of Magnolia Lane Large Note Cards & Envelopes includes 20 kraft card bases with white embossed accents, plus envelopes and liners. These are larger than traditional card bases, measuring 6-1/4" x 4-1/4", because they are designed to use with the standard Memories & More card pack cards.
Magnificent Magnolias—I stamped the large Good Morning Magnolia flower in Early Espresso ink onto the corner of the note card and the smaller magnolia onto the opposite corner. I love the look of stamping over the white pearlescent frame, because the frame resists the stamped color! Too Cool! I used Stampin' Blends Markers to color in the images: Lovely Lipstick for the flowers, Mossy Meadow for the leaves and Soft Suede for the branches and flower center. I also stamped a Good Morning Magnolia sentiment in Early Espresso ink. FYI, the Blends Marker colors are NOT resisted by the pearl lines, so if you want those to stay pretty, you have to color around them. You can see what I mean in this photo…
Shimmery Goodness—I used an damp Aqua Painter to brush on some Champagne Shimmer Paint onto the petals for ultra-shimmery goodness.
Inside The Card—I stamped the smaller flower in Early Espresso ink onto a 5-3/4" x 3-3/4" Whisper White layer for the inside. It's also colored with Lovely Lipstick, Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede Stampin' Blends, then painted with Champagne Shimmer.
Matching Envelopes—The envelopes from the pack are in matching kraft color and embossed with white pearl accents. It also includes envelopes liners with a pretty Magnolia Lane pattern. To add to the envelopes, I simply add a strip of SNAIL adhesive along the top only, stuff it into the envelope and attach, then crease on the fold. The bottom of the liner is left free so that it doesn't bulk up with the flap is folded. So elegant!
Two Cool—-The second card is the one I received as a swap from Judy Garza. Thanks for the inspiration, Judy!
Pearl Shimmer—Judy colored in her magnolia leaves with Old Olive Stampin' Blends Markers and colored the flower centers with Daffodil Delight Blends. For the flower, she painted Frost White Shimmer Paint directly onto the petals for a shimmery white magnolia! So, so pretty!
