Making Christmas Bright Bulbs Cards
This set of four cards is part of the Countdown To Christmas Making Christmas Bright class! I love the traditional reds & greens on these simple & sweet cards! If you order the class kit, you'll receive an Class Tips Instruction PDF, as well as a video tutorial walking you through each step of the featured projects.
Background Basics—The base of the first card is a 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Real Red scored at the 4-1/4" mark.
Next, I stamped the Making Christmas Bright strand of bulbs image across a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock in Crumb Cake ink. I embossed a 4-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock with the new Swirls & Curls Texture Impressions Folder, then adhered that to the bottom of the white panel. It's all layered onto a 4-5/8" x 3-3/8" mat in Call Me Clover. I tied the Real Red Mixed Satin Ribbon around the layers before adhering it all onto the card base.
Bright Bulbs—I colored in the tiny bulbs with Call Me Clover and Real Red Classic Inks and a Blender Pen. If you squeeze the pad before you open it, you'll transfer ink to the lid of the pad to use as a palette.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Making Christmas Bright circle image in Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White cardstock then punched it out with the 2-1/4" Circle Punch. I stamped the first part of the sentiment in Call Me Clover and the last word in Real Red inside the wreath. It's popped up with Dimensionals onto the front of the card.
We'll be making two of these colors of cards with the kit.
Two Cool—For the second two cards, I swapped the colors. This time, I have Call Me Clover for the card base and Real Red for the focal point mat.
Everything else is pretty much the same, except that I used the de-bossed side of the embossed layer.
Finishing Touches—Wink of Stella does not come with the class-to-go kit, but I added it to each of the bulbs and it looks amazing! It's like the lights are twinkling! Too Cool!
