Hi Stamping Friends!

Did you happen to miss my February "Last Thursdays" class?  It's coming back for March!  I had so many people who were unable to come due to illness, snowy weather or the rescheduled date, that I ended up canceling the event.  So, we'll be doing the the projects that I advertised for February at our March class! 

Register Now For The March 29 "Last Thursdays" Class—Create 4 cards using Too Cool techniques, plus envelopes.  This month, we'll be featuring items from the Sale-a-Bration promotions and Occasions Catalog!  This class is perfect for any level stamper, but it's designed for new stampers to get a feel for the basics and try out some simple, but cool, techniques!  Class is Thursday, March 1, 6:30pm, at my Too Cool Stamping Studio in Fort Wayne, IN.  Cost is $15 or the class is FREE when you place a minimum order at the event.

Life Is Better Lots of Lavender Cards

So, most cards that I've made with the Lots of Lavender Sale-a-Bration stamp set feature the main lavender image. 

 

For today's cards, I used the small floral border stamp for the focal point for an entirely different look!  It's easy to miss, but it's a fun image all by itself!

 

 

Background Basics—I started by adhering a 4-1/4" x 1/2" strip of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper to the bottom of a vertically-folded Bermuda Bay card base.  Next, I embossed a 4-1/4" x 2" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock with the Petal Pairs floral embossing folder and attached it above the stripes with some Tear & Tape Adhesive. 

 

Awesome Accents—I wrapped some Silver Baker's Twine around the card front twice and tied it into a double-knot.  I die-cut the lattice design from Old Olive cardstock with the Petals & More Thinlits and used a little Multipurpose Glue to adhere it to the card front.  Once the label was mounted on the front, I added three Basic Rhinestone Jewels floating around with the other elements.

 

 

 

Floral Focal Point—I stamped the Lots of Lavender flower border image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on the top and bottom of the 1-3/4" wide Lots of Labels shape.  The image is colored in with Stampin' Blends Markers in Bermuda Bay, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.  I stamped a Petal Palette sentiment in Memento Black in the center, mounted it onto a 2-1/8" wide Basic Black Lots of Labels shape, then popped it up with Dimensionals.

Two Cool—My second card begins with a Rich Razzleberry card base.  For this one, I used the de-bossed side of the Petal Pair texture.

 

 

Floral Focal Point—The only other changes I made was using the Rich Razzleberry and Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends Markers for the Lots of Lavender flower & leaves.
