Merriest Moments Blush Poinsettia Cards
Sometimes poinsettias come in a pretty pink color, so I designed these Merriest Moments cards with a "blush" bloom in mind. I also featured the super-cool Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder & Dies! If you love the stamp set, the bundle is a MUST, because it includes both the folder AND the die set!
Background Basics—The card begins with a 5-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of Petal Pink cardstock adhered across the center of a Blushing Bride card base.
Fabulous Floral—Technically, the Hybrid Embossing Folders allow you to both cut and emboss and image in one pass through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. I found, however, with the intricate details on this floral frame, that I didn't really get the level of textured detail that I wanted with that one pass. So, I recommend die-cutting with the die first, then lining up the die-cut inside the folder and running it through on a second pass. Then, you can achieve all the exquisite texture on the leaves around the frame. I die-cut a quarter sheet, 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" of Basic White for this layer.
Next, I stamped a Merriest Moments sentiment in Blushing Bride ink onto the frame and adhered it to the card front.
Poinsettia Bloom—I stamped the Merriest Moments large and small poinsettia flower in Blushing Bride ink, as well as three medium holly leaves in Mint Macaron ink, onto Basic White scrap cardstock. All of the images were then die-cut with the Merriest Frames Dies and assembled onto the frame. So, so pretty!
Finishing Touches—The Champagne Rhinestones work perfectly with this color combination. I added one to the flower center and around the sentiment.

Two Cool—For the second card, I adhered the same Petal Pink panel onto a Thick Basic White card base. The Basic White die-cut frame was cut and then then embossed in two passes through the machine. I love that white-on-white look for a wintery feel!
Fab Flower—This time, I stamped the larger flower in Petal Pink for a two-tone look. I also used the larger holly leaf images.
