Today is the final day to earn my Merriest Trees LIVE Class Kit…or it’s at least the last day to request the class kit! So, if you would like to earn the class kit, but had intended on earning it by ordering the Merriest Trees Bundle, then please simply let me know. I can make and hold a kit for you, so you can place your order later, once the dies are back in stock. Simply contact me and I’ll add your name to the class list.

Today, I’m sharing a cute little Merriest Trees treat box that holds a Reese’s Peanut Butter chocolate tree.

In this LIVE Class, I feature the Merriest Trees Bundle and coordinating Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper. At first glance, you may think this stamp set is limited to one single large tree, but the Merriest Trees Dies allow that tree to be cut into 5 different sizes of trees! The bundle also offers a variety of ways to decorate both the tree and under the tree! There are ornaments, garland, stars, snowflakes, gifts and bows. There’s even a nice size tag that is the perfect accent for any gift packaging! Special note about the Walk In The Forest DSP: Stampin’ Up! will donate $3 to Toys For Tots for every package purchased!

Earn A FREE 5-CARD KIT With Minimum $40 using Host Code VJ74UUCQ—Receive all of the cardstock, die-cuts & embellishments needed to create the 5 cards I demonstrated. Due to limited quantity of the currently unavailable Glitter Sequins, I reserve the right to substitute embellishments, in the unlikely event that I run out of one style. You add the stamp set, dies, inks and adhesive. Die-cuts are not provided for images that are stamped. Printable tutorial will be emailed. Order by October 23, 2023, using the Host Code VJ74UUCQ. Kits will be mailed out by October 27, 2023. One kit per person, per order. United States only. Cannot be combined with other offers. Details available on www.TooCoolStamping.com.

Merriest Trees Reese’s Tree Treat Box

Each month, I create a little gift to include in my team’s Make & Take kits that coordinate with the theme of the projects. Last month, our cards featured the Merriest Trees Bundle, so I created a coordinating treat box to hold a Reese’s Peanut Butter chocolate tree!

I CASEd a tutorial by Cathryn Theeman and you can find her complete video tutorial here.

Box Basics

This box starts with an 8″ x 7″ piece of cardstock. Along the 8″ side, score at 1/2″, 1-1/2″, 3-3/4″, 4-3/4″ and 7″.

Along the 7″ side, score the cardstock at the 1/2″, 1-1/2″, 5-1/2″ and 6-1/2″ marks.

Next, trim away the sections as shown above. You’ll want to “wedge” cut the four 1″ flaps to make them easier to glue together when assembling.

Here is what your final box should look like before folding and assembling. I recommend using Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue to glue the tabs for a nice, secure hold.

Decorating The Box

I made my box with Balmy Blue cardstock and decorated it with Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper. The top measures 2″ x 3-3/4″, the long sides measure 3/4″ x 3-3/4″ and the short sides measure 3/4″ x 2″.

Next, I stamped the Merriest Tree large tree image in Pretty Peacock ink onto Basic White and die-cut it with the 3-tier Merriest Trees die. I popped it up with Dimensionals onto the box. I added a die-cut star from the silver glimmer paper that you can find as an Online Exclusive. I added silver gems from the Festive Pearls pack

The Merriest Trees sentiment was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink onto a Basic White Stylish Shapes die-cut banner and popped up.

Inside The Box

I added a Reese’s Peanut Butter chocolate tree treat to the box, then closed it with thin little 3/8″ Velcro-style dots. You can find bulk Reese’s trees and dots on Amazon.

Although it was designed specifically for Reese’s trees, it’s a nice-size treat box that could hold lots of different things like fun-size candy, little toys, cash or gift cards! It’s very versatile!
