Hi Stamping Friends!
The Basic Black & Old Olive plaid pattern in the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper adds a touch of warmth to a classic black & white color combination. It's oh, so lovely and it's a very trendy look for 2017 holiday cards!
Today, I'm sharing two cool cards that were designed by my team members for our quarterly team shoebox swap.

Merry Little Christmas Sweet Plaid Swap Cards
Our team shoebox swap theme was Quick & Cute Holiday cards and these two projects fit that theme perfectly! They were both very easy to stamp & assemble, making them ideal for mass-producing for Christmas greetings. They coordinate so well, they would also be amazing in a gift set of cards! That's the awesomeness of Stampin' Up! suite coordination at work right there. Stampin' Up! makes it so easy when everything matches so well! Thanks so much to Rita Berning and Janet Shinn for sharing!
Designed by Rita Berning.
Rita Berning CASEd a pretty card that was originally shared by Lyssa Zwolanek, and that I had CASEd it too for my blog not long ago. Instead of metallics, Rita used a completely different color scheme spotlighting products from the Merry Little Christmas suite and I love the results!
Background Basics—Rita's card begins with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White that's embossed using the Winter Wonder snowflake folder. She added a 4" x 2" layer of the Merry Little Christmas plaid DSP along the bottom of the piece. Then she wrapped a 5-1/2" strip of the 7/8" Striped Ribbon around the layers at the seam. The ribbon has wire in it, so it folds behind the card stock and can be tacked in place easily with SNAIL. It's all mounted onto a vertically folded Basic Black card base.
Sweet Sentiment—Rita stamped the Merry Little Labels image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White card stock, then punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch. She popped it up onto a Black Lots of Labels die-cut, and popped it up again onto the card front.
Bundle It & Save—Purchase the Merry Little Labels stamp set and Everyday Label Punch together in a bundle to save 10%!
Finishing Touches—Rita added a pop of Olive color with the Holly Berry Builder Punch, sponging the edges of the punched leaves with Old Olive ink. They are attached with Glue Dots. Three little Pearl Jewels complete the holiday trim! So simple and sweet!

Designed by Janet Shinn.
Janet Shinn also shared a pretty little plaid-based holiday card! I love the die-cut trees with the little deer peeking out from behind! Adorable!
Background Basics—Janet's card also begins with a Basic Black card base. She adhered a 2-3/4" x 3" piece of the plaid pattern onto the top of a 3" x 4" layer of Old Olive card stock. She added a sentiment from the Star of Light stamp set at the bottom in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then tied some 1/4" Silver Natural Trim around the layer and mounted it onto the front.
