Mixed Florals Thank You Card
If you love to color with Stampin’ Blends Markers, or watercolors, the Mixed Florals stamp set has two incredible images that are perfect! I used the Mixed Media Floral Designer Series Paper to set the color palette for this bold, bright thank you card.
Background Basics
I started by adhering a 3-3/4″ x 2″ piece of the Mixed Media Florals DSP to the bottom of a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ piece of Basic Black cardstock. I embossed a 3-3/4″ x 3″ piece of Basic Black cardstock with the now retired Painted Texture Embossing Folder. You could easily substitute the Plaster Painting Embossing Folder that comes in the suite. I wrapped Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon around the layers at the seam, then mounted them onto a Shaded Spruce card base with SEAL Adhesive.
Focal Point
I stamped the large Mixed Florals tulip image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Basic White Countryside Corners die-cut. I used Stampin’ Blends Markers to color it in: Calypso Coral Light & Dark for the tulips; Old Olive Light & Dark and Shaded Spruce Dark for the leaves; Old Olive Dark for the stems; Lost Lagoon Light & Dark for the small blooms.
Next, I layered the stamped image onto a 2-1/2″ x 4-1/8″ piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock and trimmed the corners to create a mat. The layers are popped up with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment
I stamped the Mixed Labels sentiment in Memento Black ink onto a Basic White Mixed Labels die-cut. It’s attached with a Dimensional on one end and some SEAL on the other.
Finishing Touches
I added a few Petal Pink Low-Profile Dots around the blooms. I just love these embellishments because they are super shiny and flat, so they are easier for mailable cards.
Optional: I added a little Wink of Stella glimmer onto the tulips and small blooms. So pretty!
