Guess what I did?  I tried another card challenge!  It really jump-starts my creativity!

Mojo352Sketch

I used the above Mojo Monday #352 Card Sketch!  Are YOU up for the challenge?  You have until Sunday, July 6, at 8pm to play along!  Here's what I came up with!

Mojo 352 - two cool

Tall & Skinny Sizes—I usually stick to the traditional 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card size when I create, so I had fun experimenting with some tall & skinny cards for this challenge!  They gave you the option of doing a 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" size that would fit into an A2 medium envelope with some extra room, or a 3-1/2" x 6" size that fits perfectly into a 6-3/4" regular business (check-size) envelope.

Mojo 352 - cantaloupe

Background Basics—Using the sketch as my guide, I created the three background layers to add to my Baked Brown Sugar 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base.  First, I adhered a 3-1/4" x 5-1/4 piece of the pretty Lullaby Designer Series Paper.  Then, I added a 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Crisp Cantaloupe card stock that was embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder, as well as a 2" x 4" piece of Crushed Curry card stock.

Focal Point—I used the Too Kind flowers for the focal point, two-step stamping them on Whisper White card stock in Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral, and Baked Brown Sugar ink.  I love, love, love these sweet flowers!  The images were die-cut with the Circle Collection Framelits.

Circle SentimentI stamped the Too Kind sentiment in Baked Brown Sugar, then punched it with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch.  The Crisp Cantaloupe frame around it was die-cut with the next largest size of the Circle Collection Framelits.  Did you ever notice that the circle punches and circle framelits sizes really coordinate and layer well together?!  Very handy!

Beautiful Bow—The Hello Honey Stitched Satin Ribbon is close enough to the Crushed Curry color that it made a great coordinating accent!  I love how this new ribbon looks tied up as a neat bow!  And, no, I don't really tie my bows that perfectly…I use a bow-maker that was made by a friend of a friend.  I sure wish Stampin' Up! would sell one!

Glittering Details—Last, but not least, I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the blooms with my 2-Way Glue Pen.  I wasn't going to do it, but I just can't "NOT" add some kind of bling to my cards!  It really is a sickness.

Mojo 352 - coastal

The second card measures 3-1/5" x 6".  What a fun size to try!  My background elements are basically the same, they just have some different measurements. The Lullaby DSP piece is 3-1/4" x 5-3/4", the Coastal Cabana piece, embossed with the Honeycomb Folder, is 3-1/4" x 5-3/4", and the Pistachio Pudding piece is 2" x 4-1/2".

The blossoms were stamped in Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay this time, and the sentiment frame is also in Coastal Cabana.  I adore these cool blue & green colors together contrasting the warmth of the golden tones!   My favorite version for sure!

Which version do you like best?
