More Than Autumn Pumpkin Spice Card
Are you ready for some pumpkin spice? I just love this card created by Janet Holmes that I received in a recent card swap! It has lots of fun textures and details!
Background Basics
Janet’s card begins with a 5″ x 3-3/4″ Basic Beige layer that she textured with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder. She layered that onto a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock, then mounted it onto a Basic Black card base.
Next she layered a 1/2″ x 3-3/4″ strip of Pumpkin Pie Designers Series Paper onto a 1-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock and adhered that to the left side of the card front.
Sweet Sentiment Tag
Next, Janet die-cut a Basic White Greetings of the Season die-cut label and stamped it with a splatter image from the Country Birdhouse stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. Next, she used the More Than Autumn Dies to die-cut the words “pumpkin spice” from Pumpkin Pie cardstock. She used a Sponge Dauber to add some Pecan Pie ink to the bottoms of the letters before adhering them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. She finished by stamping the first part of the More Than Autumn sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink above the die-cut words.
Finally, I love how she used a Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Marker to alter the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon! She tied a small strip of it into a knot and attached it with more Liquid Glue. So cool!
Sweet Drink
Janet created a refreshing pumpkin spice beverage as the focal point of the card. She stamped the More Than Autumn cup and whipped cream images in Crumb Cake ink onto Basic Beige cardstock and die-cut with the coordinating dies. She stamped some sprinkles in Memento Black ink onto the whipped cream and sponged on some Pecan Pie ink. She also stamped the wrapper onto Pumpkin Pie, die-cut it and embossed it with Forever Plaid. She added a tiny 1″ x 1/4″ strip of Pecan Pie DSP over the wrapper. Everything is assembled together and popped up with Dimensionals. She finished off with a Pecan Pie Clear Ribbon adhesive-backed gem. Delightful!
