More Than Words Birthday Wishes Card #1
Kim Peck created this pretty swap card combining the awesome Painted Seasons stamp set with several other Sale-a-Bration items! I love the soft color combination of Grapefruit Grove and Soft Sea Foam.
Background Basics—This card begins by embossing a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Country Floral Texture Impressions Folder. We found out recently that this beautiful Sale-a-Bration folder will be carrying over into the new Annual Catalog this June! You can select it now for FREE with a $50 order.
Next, Kim adhered a 5-1/4" x 2-1/2" Soft Sea Foam layer on the textured piece, then added a 5-1/4" x 2" Whisper White layer on top of that. She wrapped a piece of the Petal Pink Variegated Ribbon down the center, securing the ends on the back. The layered card front was mounted onto a Grapefruit Grove card base using Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Painted Blooms—The Painted Seasons flowers were stamped in Grapefruit Grove ink and the leaves were stamped in Soft Sea Foam ink. They were die-cut with the Four Seasons Framelits, one of those popular Sale-a-Bration Coordination items! One of the flowers is adhered with SNAIL adhesive and the other is popped up with Dimensionals. The leaves are tucked in between with Glue Dots. So pretty!
Sweet Sentiment—The More Than Words stamp set has some cool layered sentiments. This one is created by stamping the full "wishes" word in Grapefruit Grove that's been stamped off once. Next, the half "wishes" word is stamped over the top in full-strength Grapefruit Grove ink. Finally, the cursive "birthday" was stamped over the top in Soft Sea Foam. The sentiment, stamped on Whisper White cardstock, was punched out with the Story Label Punch, also one of the Sale-a-Bration Coordination items. It's popped up with Dimensionals onto the card front.

I received this pretty swap card from Selene Kempton and she made the More Than Words layered sentiment the focal point.
Background Basics—The Country Floral embossing folder was used on the background of this card, as well. It measures 3-3/4" x 5" and is layered onto a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Bermuda Bay mat with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Both are mounted onto a Pool Party card base.
Layered Oval—I love the way Selene layered the oval and background banner together. She die-cut a Bermuda Bay scalloped oval using the Layering Ovals Framelits and mounted it onto the card front with SNAIL Adhesive. Next, she added a 2" x 4-3/4" strip of Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper that she fishtail cut, also adhered with SNAIL.
Sweet Sentiment—Finally, the More Than Words "wishes" was stamped onto Whisper White cardstock in Pool Party ink with the detailed two-step layer stamped over the top in Bermuda Bay ink. The cursive sentiment was stamped above in Bermuda Bay ink, as well. It was die-cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits and adhered with SNAIL. What a cool way to layer!
