Nature’s Poem Be Strong Pillow Boxes

Today, I want to give a shout out to my Too Cool Team!  We had our local team Stamp & Share event last night and it was a grand ole time!  It was especially fun because I got a chance to reward many of them for their sales & recruiting achievements in July. With last month's awesome Starter Kit promotion, we had an extraordinary number of team members who added members to their own teams!  Some stampers who hadn't planned on ever signing anyone up, had their first recruit ever!  When all was said and done, the 57 team members that I have in my three levels added a total of 25 new stampers to the group!  Wow!  That's impressive!  I'm so very proud of them!  We had lots of fun prize giveaways to help celebrate!

One of the highlights of the night is creating the make & takes!  We created four fall-themed cards using two of the new stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog.  Team members who couldn't join us, or live outside of my local area, had the option of getting a kit to assemble the cards on their own.  I'll be sharing those projects with you as we get closer to the release of that catalog in September.  

Today, I'm sharing the table gift that I created for everyone who attended the event—a fall-themed pillow box filled with candy!

Nature's Poem Be Strong Pillow Boxes

I love the new Kraft Pillow Boxes that are new to the Annual Catalog and I knew that they would be perfect for fall-themed projects!  

 

Kraft Pillow Boxes—The boxes come in a pack of 10 and feature a lovely white polka dot pattern that is pretty enough on it's own, yet versatile enough to dress up with Designer Series Paper and accents.  The finished box measures 5" x 3", so they will hold lots of goodies like candy, money, a gift card, or a small gift.  They are the perfect size for a little thank you gift or a table favor at your autumn events.

 

 

 

Box Décor—I decorated my pillow boxes with a 2" x 8" strip of Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper.  I added a strip of Tear & Tape to each end first, then attached one end near one edge on the front of the box, then wrapped it around the box and secured the other end.  That's all the adhesive I used on it. 

 

Sweet Sentiment—I inked the Rooted in Nature leaves image in Mint Macaron, stamped off once, then stamped onto Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment over the top in Soft Suede ink, then die-cut it with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  It's popped up with Dimensionals onto a Soft Suede scallop circle that was die-cut with the Layering Circles Framelits.  I adhered the whole thing to the box top with Dimensionals. 

 

TIP: Because of the curved surface of the box, it may be helpful to use a Bone Folder to add a slight curve to the circles to help the Dimensionals hold a bit better.

 

Awesome Accents—I added a Mint Macaron Nature's Twine bow at the bottom with a Glue Dot, then tucked in a copper Leaves Trinket under the medallion, attaching it with a Glue Dot as well.  I finished by adding a couple of Rhinestone Jewels that I colored with a Bronze Stampin' Blends Marker to make them look copper.  Sweet!

 

Two Cool—My second version used a different pattern from Nature's Poem DSP for the belly band.  I stamped the leaves and cut a scallop circle in Grapefruit Grove this time.

 

The Grapefruit Grove Nature's Twine matches this one perfectly!
