Nature's Poem Framed Oak Tree Cards
The Nature's Poem suite of products has all the fall elements you need for a beautiful autumn card! I especially like how the tree focal point is spotlighted with a popped up frame on these cards!
Background Basics—A 5-1/4" x 4" piece of the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper was mounted onto a Soft Suede card base to start this card. Then, a 5-1/4" x 1-1/4" strip of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Petal Burst Texture Impressions Folder. Copper Thread was wrapped around this layer several times, then it was adhered across the center with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Framed Tree—The frame is created by die-cutting a 3" x 3" Whisper White piece with the Layering Squares Framelits, then die-cutting the next smallest square in Soft Suede. The two squares are adhered together, then die-cut with the next smallest square from the same framelits. Use Foam Strips to pop up the frame onto the card front. The Rooted In Nature oak tree is stamped in Mint Macaron ink onto Whisper White, then die-cut with the coordinating Nature's Roots Framelits and popped up over the frame. I love how you can see the DSP through the frame!

Copper Leaves—The leaves accent is created with two runs through the Big Shot using the Nature's Roots Framelits. First, cut the outline of the leaves from a Copper Foil Sheet. Then, run the shape through the Big Shot again with the leaves embosslit positioned over the top of it. TIP: I like to use a piece of washi tape over the die to keep it from moving around before running it through. The leaves are attached with Glue Dots.
Sweet Sentiment—The sentiment is from the now retired Blended Seasons stamp set, inked in Soft Suede. It's popped up with Dimensionals, too.
Two Cool—The second version simply swaps out the colors on some of the elements, starting with a Mint Macaron card base and square frame. This time the Rooted In Nature tree is stamped in Soft Suede.
