Nature's Prints Corner Easel Cards

Here's a fun & easy card that the recipient can display as a reminder of your thoughtfulness! They are deceptively simple to make! All you need is an extra score line and a "kickstand" element on the inside of your card.

Background Basics—This card style begins with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Starry Sky cardstock. I folded the card on the score line, then added a diagonal score line from the bottom left corner to the top right corner of the card front. Fold on that score line toward the center of the card. The bottom triangle panel of that card front will be where the decorative card front is eventually adhered.

Decorative Card Front—I adhered a 5" x 2" piece of Sun Prints Designer Series Paper along the bottom of a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White. I added a 5" x 3/4" strip of the striped Sun Prints DSP along the top edge of the original DSP. After adhering that layer to a 5-1/4" x 4" layer of Gray Granite cardstock, I tied some Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon around the layers into a double-knot. I finished by adhering that whole card front onto the bottom triangle only of the card base with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Focal Point—I stamped a Nature's Prints leaves sentiment in Gray Granite ink onto a Basic White Stylish Shapes circle die-cut. I added Nature's Prints leaves around the sentiment, inked in Starry Sky. I popped this element up with Dimensionals, then added some Rhinestone Jewels that had been colored with Light Starry Sky Stampin' Blends Markers. So pretty!

Inside The Card—I stamped a Nature's Prints flower image in Starry Sky ink onto a scrap of Basic White, then trimmed it out by hand. It's popped up onto the 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White to become the "kickstand" element that holds the bended card front into place. I also stamped more of the Nature's Prints leaves in Starry Sky around the flower for a fully finished look before adhering the whole layer with SEAL Adhesive.

I love that the card can be easily displayed, yet will still fold flat for mailing in a standard A2 Card Envelope.

Two Cool—My second version just swaps out some of the colors. I start with a Gray Granite diagonally folded card base. It's layered with different patterns of DSP onto Basic White, then mounted onto a Night of Navy layer.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the leaves in Gray Granite ink onto a larger Stylish Shapes circle die-cut and added a sentiment in Night of Navy, slightly overlapping the images. The Rhinestones are colored with Night of Navy Blends Markers.

The pocket card is decorated with coordinating Sun Prints DSP on the background. She stamped a Nature's Prints image onto a 2" x 3" piece of Basic White for her focal point, then embossed it with the Fern Embossing Folder. It's mounted onto a Starry Sky layer.

Inside the Card—I stamped the inside images in Gray Granite this time. I also added a sentiment, but it was totally crooked, so I stamped it again onto a Natural Prints die-cut label and adhered it over the top. Wow…that really dresses up the inside! Cool!
