If you have friends who like to sew, quilt or embroidery, the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper creates some pretty stitched images and elements that they will love! Peggy Tassler created these pretty cards for me to send to some of my favorite stampers!
Background Basics—Peggy started by embossing a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue cardstock with the Subtle Dynamic Texture Impressions Folder. It's mounted onto a Balmy Blue card base. Next, she layered a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of the blue butterfly pattern of Needlepoint Nook DSP onto a 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Night of Navy card stock and adhered it to the card front.
Focal Point Foundation—Peggy die-cut a contrasting pattern from the flip-side of the Needlepoint Nook DSP with the 2-7/8" diameter Layering Circle Framelit and adhered it to the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—Peggy stamped the Needle & Thread sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then ran it through the Big Shot with the stitched label die from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits. That die only does the stitching around the sentiment; you cut it out with the coordinating Pretty Label Punch. It's popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—Peggy also stamped the Needle & Thread stitched butterfly in Night of Navy and small embroidered flower image in Balmy Blue onto Whisper White cardstock. The butterfly was punched with the Butterfly Duet Punch and the flower was die-cut with the Needlepoint Elements. They are attached to the card front with Glue Dots.
Finally, Peggy attached a White Baker's Twine bow onto the flower with a Glue Dot and added a few Rhinestones Jewels on the butterfly and around the sentiment. So pretty!
Two Cool—Peggy created a second card with a Highland Heather card base and Subtle embossed layer. This time, she selected a different Needlepoint Nook DSP pattern and layered onto Berry Burst cardstock.
Focal Point Foundation—This time, the circle was cut from the flip-side of the same DSP in Highland Heather.
Sweet Sentiment—The same sentiment and bitty butterfly was stamped in Berry Burst ink this time. The flower was stamped in Highland Heather. All of the other accents are identical to the first card.
