New Horizons Relax & Enjoy Your Day Cards
One of the things that makes the New Horizons DSP so cool is that it's meant to be stamped on! The images from the On The Horizon stamp set make the watercolor horizon artwork come alive. And, the Horizon Dies die-cuts at fun layers and elements that coordinate beautifully.
Background Basics—I began this card with a 5-1/2" x 7-1/2" piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock that's scored at the 4-1/4" mark. I embossed a 3" x 5-1/4" piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder and adhered it to the front panel.
Focal Point—I trimmed down one of the New Horizons DSP patterns to 2-5/8" x 4". I stamped the On The Horizon trees along the horizon line in Night of Navy ink before adhering it to a Basic White Scalloped Contours die-cut. I die cut a Night of Navy grass die-cut and adhered that along the bottom with Liquid Multipurpose Glue. The layers are popped up with Dimensionals onto the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped an On The Horizon sentiment onto a Basic White Stitched Rectangles die-cut in Night of Navy ink. I added a strip of the already retired Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon to the back of the sentiment, then attached it with SEAL Adhesive to the card front. I finished with a couple of Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestones.
Inside The Card—On the inside, I adhered a 1" x 5-1/4" coordinating strip of New Horizons DSP along the side of a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White. I also stamped grass and a sentiment in Night of Navy.
Two Cool—I love how this second card turned out! It starts with Evening Evergreen for the card base and a Soft Succulent textured background. The inside has another coordinating strip of DSP with a Soft Succulent pattern.
Focal Point—I selected a different pattern of New Horizons DSP and stamped the trees and birds in Evening Evergreen. The grassy die-cut is in Evening Evergreen cardstock.
Sweet Sentiment—It's the same sentiment element, this time stamped in Evening Evergreen and accented with the Misty Moonlight 1/8" Cotton Ribbon.
