The first card from my Lovely Garden Suite LIVE Class was this one, CASEd from a card from Julie Davison. This class was the first time I’ve really used Masks and Blending Brushes and now I’m hooked. This is a great card to start with because there are not as many layers.

I started by adhering a 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of the Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper onto a Misty Moonlight card base. Next, I die-cut a Basic Black layer with the Textured Notes Dies and added a 2-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock in the center. Both layers are mounted onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive.

I stamped the Thankful Garden flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Basic White cardstock. I used the Thankful Garden Masks, along with Blending Brushes, to add soft colors to the image. Starting with mask 1, I blended on some light Bubble Bath ink. Next, I used mask 4 to add a light layer of Garden Green ink to the leaves and stems. I used mask 5 to blend on a second darker layer of Garden Green ink for a little more definition.

To finish, I added some shading to the flowers with a Light Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Marker. I die-cut the flower with the coordinating Thankful Garden Dies and popped it up with Dimensionals.

I stamped the Thankful Garden sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 2-1/2″ x 1″ piece of Basic White and popped it up over the stem of the flowers. I finished by adding a few Iridescent Faceted Gems around the focal point. Just stunning!
